Review: My wife and I were shopping for carpeting for our new home that we recently purchased. We had found carpeting that we liked at Crest, and had gotten a rough estimate for the carpet. in order to continue the process, we needed to pay $50 for them to send someone to measure the rooms in which we needed the carpeting installed. This happened as scheduled, and our final estimate was given to us a day later. The estimate seemed a bit high compared to other carpeting stores in the area, so in an effort to not go through this process again, my wife asked Crest if they were willing to give a discount in the neighborhood of 10% to bring the price closer to their competitors which were somewhere between 15 - 20% less for the same exact carpeting. Upon asking for a discount, the salesperson became enraged and basically hung up on my wife. I would never do business with a company who's employees act this way when asking for a better price. I called back and asked to speak to the manager, who told me they would never give a discount, but wouldn't even apologize for her employee's behavior. I told her that I could not do business with them based on this, and asked for them to provide me with the measurements and diagram that I paid $50 for. I'm still waiting for it, and I have every right to this information that I paid for. I either need them to provide this info for me or credit my card for the $50.Desired Settlement: I would like the $50 refunded to me for measuring my home since they will not provide the measurements and diagram to me. I feel that I have every right to this information since I paid them for it. At this point I'd just like my $50 back.

I ready take exception to being blind-sided, and to me, that Is exactly what you did with your complaint to the Revdex.com because what you stated is quite inaccurate. Crest Flooring provided you with Fair pricing for the materials you were selecting and according to [redacted], [redacted] was insistent on getting at least 10% off. Our system works for over 61 years. We provide great products at guaranteed lowest prices and what is good for one client is good for the other. We do not negotiate 'deals' with people as if they are buying a used car. When after several minutes of trying to get a better price, [redacted] finally Said no and that was the end of the conversation. He did not hang up you [redacted]..there was simply nothing left to say! When you called back and asked to speak to our manager, you were told the same thing.,.that we do not negotiate. So because you didn't get your way, you decided to bring your complaint to the Revdex.com.

For your edification, we do offer a discounts for quantity purchases, but your order was not at that plateau, so we simply were staying within our established policy of treating everyone the same.

I note in your complaint that you wanted a better deal because "other competitors" were between "15 - 20% less for the same exact carpeting." If you have a written quotation from these competitors, showing the exact same products, then that would easily come under our low price guarantee and we would match their price/ But you and I both know that you didn't see these products at another store let alone get a price 15% or 20% less than ours!!
