CrestHill Suites LLC Albany Reviews (%countItem)

I stayed at this hotel from February 28th to March 1st. I was paying my credit card bill on March 18th when I realized that they didn't reverse the $250 hold so I made a call to the hotel. When I called the receptionist looked and found the account and stated that she couldn't find a reason the money wasn't returned and that I needed to reach out to the manager and gave me his email. I emailed him and as I was finishing I received a call from her stating that she just spoke with the manager and he stated that he had to call the police because there was a 13 year old left behind and then there was booze and weed left also. I explained to her that they must of had the rooms mixed up and she told me to call the next day. I called the next day and was unable to speak to the manager because they kept saying he wasn't there. I called on 3/20/20 when I was told that the reason I was being charged was because they found marijuana and a 13 year old in Rm 331 and he told them that he was staying between that room and 335 which was my room. I explained to them that my party had 2 rooms and they were 124 and 335 and had nothing to do with 331. They told me they were aware of that but because the 13 yr old told them that that's why they couldn't erase the charge. I told them if he in fact was in my room then that meant after I checked out on Sunday at 12pm either a worker opened the door for him or the front desk gave him a key to my room and they shouldn't have because he was not part of my party. They then called the police and stated that I was harassing them and they have proof of him being in that room. I was then informed by the police to contact the

DO NOT STAY HERE
Stayed here for one night while visiting Albany with 5 other people and a baby. We booked the 2 bed, 2 bath suite, and when we arrived for check-in, we were told we could not have that room due to maintenance issues in one of the bathrooms where the water in the tub would not stop running, and their maintenance guy was away and could not be reached.
We were moved into two separate rooms across the hall from each other. One seemed to be recently upgraded with stainless appliances and granite counters, while the other room looked like you stepped back into the 80's, had stained sheets, and smelled of smoke and mildew (mold was later found growing on the bathroom ceiling).
We had to ask to change rooms and when we got to our new room, this room also had a plumbing issue and water was constantly running in the tub. We were then told that those were the only two rooms available in the hotel, so we had to choose one; we stayed with the original room because at least it was quiet.
After a free breakfast (you get what you pay for) the next morning, we returned to our rooms to find one of the doors to the hallway propped wide open by a chair, with no one in the room. We had not checked out, and it was not check out time yet, but the housekeepers went in, took all of our towels we planned to use to shower with before leaving, and left the room open for anyone to go in.
Several other problems arose and front desk staff were rude and even laughed at us for being upset about our room being left open and unattended.
Because of our troubles the day before, we were given $30 off the rate of our room which was nice, right? Nope.
The day after our credit card was charged (reflecting the discount) we received another charge for $30 from CrestHill. We called to clarify what was going on and the manager accused someone in our party of stealing the hotel's dirty towels. We were told that he saw someone leave the hotel with the towels and never brought them back in (lies) and that he saw this on the camera footage he watched which conveniently no longer existed and had been recorded over. The manager refused to refund us the $30, so we had to go through our credit card company to dispute the charge.
Additionally, it was a winter stay and the pathway outside the door was shoveled barely as wide as a shovel, with a mound of ice you had to climb over at the end. The parking lot was no better, not plowed or safe to walk on.

Upon entering room after a smooth check in process, the toilet had a huge gouge out of the side and the flusher was broken. In order to flush, the lid on back of the toilet had to be taken off. The windows on the room were also opened (screened) which seems inconsiderate to those with environmental allergies. The air conditioning unit would not work therefore the windows had to remain open. Issues were reported to front desk and was told that there was no maintenance on staff at the time and due to hotel being “sold out”, a different room was not available. After the stay, multiple attempts were made (4) to reach hotel management. I was assured I would receive a phone call and possible compensation towards this disservice, however it’s been 6 days and still no attempt the been made to resolve this.

So this Past weekend, I stayed at the Crest Hill Suites....NEVER AGAIN!!!! Everything was going fine until the handle from the toilet fell off. So I contacted the front desk from there I got an hour long run around. ( I spoke with Jay) as well as a Manger(In the Morning). First Jay said he would issue us a Discount. but he couldn't fix the toilet there was no Maintenance. And he could put us in another room, because the hotel was booked. If My Mother did not Tell Him to Call his manger or she was going to call the Head office. we would have never seen a manger. So Fast forward to the Next morning, I spoke with a Hotel manger that morning. He told me that I had to contact *** then they Over-drafted my account for a prepaid room (I wasnt booked for the 18th which was an error on there part because I called to let them know that I had booked the wrong day and wanted the 18th and that I need two beds. they Ignored my request guess I wasn't Important enough. After Contacting *** Management Lied !!!! Told *** and claimed they did not offer the Discount now I am Out 100.74 and I have to pay an over draft charge of $25.00.
