Review: I spoke with Crestline Funding back in September about the back to work program for a home loan. They could not do anything at that time said we will contact you in February .When February came Crestline called me I let them know I would not be using them I was working with someone else. I got an email from credit karma letting me know they had requested a credit report after the fact. They did not have my permission to do soDesired Settlement: I would like for them to remove this credit inquiry from my credit report

Review: I did a refinance with [redacted] in December 2013 and an investment property purchase in August 2014. He had all the paperwork related to these transactions. I previously had a good experience. Recently, things have changed significantly. On May 27, 2015, [redacted] contacted me stating that rates were low and I should consider refinancing. He also stated there would be no fees associated with the refinance. He asked for the following items:2014 tax returns2014 w2sCurrent paystubsCurrent retirement and bank statementsCurrent mortgage statementsI sent the paperwork immediately. On May 27 (same day as the initial contact), [redacted] sent me the loan application with a rate of 3.75 and disclosures, which I signed immediately. On 6/2, I received the appraisal order, which was paid on 6/5. On 6/19, my appraisal was received by Crestline Funding. This is the same date I was told [redacted] was no longer with the company. On 6/26, I was told the new mortgage banker was gathering my paperwork and he would be in touch one to two business days later. On 6/30, I was told I needed to provide more documentation and the rates had changed. This was the documentation (all of which [redacted] had).2013 Federal Tax Return (all pages but do not need state returns) (we have 2014)2013 W2 (we have 2014)Current, updated paystub (we have pay period ending 5/24, so the next 1-2 would be great)HOA statement for [redacted] to prove monthly paymentInsurance for 82nd Avenue (are taxes and insurance both impounded on your Roundpoint mortgage account?)I am seeing that the total monthly amount is $300 for the vacant land loan, correct? On 6/30, I was extremely upset that I was basically starting all over again, I had no idea [redacted] was going to leave the company in the middle of my transaction, and I would never have pursued refinancing had I not been contacted by [redacted] and had a working relationship with him. That also means I would never have authorized a $400 appraisal. I was told that if I chose to refinance with another lender, Crestline would assign the appraisal to that lender. I have never been given a copy of the appraisal. On 6/30, I was told basically too bad about the rate because I did not lock it in. While that is true, so much time was wasted from sine the date that [redacted] contacted me and was processing my paperwork. Having a working relationship with [redacted] and with him having all the necessary paperwork in his files, this should have made the transaction go smoothly and quickly.Later on 6/30, I was told the previous missing files could be uploaded (see the list above) and the mortgage banker would be in touch soon. This was the last time I heard from him.On 7/6, I called the company and asked for a new mortgage banker and explained my issue of lack of timely customer service. On 7/9, I received a call from Crestline again stating the ratios looked troublesome and that a manger would call me the early part of week of July 13. (Note: there is no reason the ratios should look troublesome given that I earn more money now than when I refinanced the first time [about $11k more per year], I have less debt including no more car payment, and I have rental income every month from the investment property.)As of July 17, I have yet to hear back from anyone regarding this matter. Since [redacted] left, customer service is marginal at best, and I have unnecessarily paid $400.Desired Settlement: While I paid a third party for the appraisal, Crestline should refund the fee, as I agreed to pay the for the appraisal only when [redacted] was handling my refinance. I should not have to suffer the loss of $400 because the transition in staff directly affected my ability to refinance in a timely manner, and because the new mortgage banker and others at Crestline have handled the transition extremely poorly.
