Awful experience! This company was hired Octto install extensive hardscaping, and other outdoor work, to include multiple expansive retaining walls and a large patio around the property, for a new pool area
They began with land clearing, including removal of trees, and excavation was started They constructed one smaller retaining wall, near the driveway where trees were removed This wall has since been torn out, as we were later informed that the block manufacturers' retaining wall specifications were not followed, despite reassurance from the company that they would follow the specs The installation resulted in a poorly built and structurally compromised wall, due to multiple flaws and issues
Despite collecting over $100,within weeks into the project, and very workable weather, we found there were many no show dates, and little progress was made Most of the work that was attempted resulted in problems, and costly property damages occurred
By March of 2015, we were forced to terminate the contract with this company, due to the lack of progress during good/reasonable weather, poor outcomes of the work they attempted, concerns that further work would have poor results as well, the concerns over property damages, and the need to avoid the risk of additional damages The enormous costs involved to tear out, properly redo & correct the poor outcome of their work, repair/replace the property that sustained damage, and to pay a competent contractor to complete the job, for which Lawes was originally hired and paid over $100,000.00, is not at all what we expected We also expect the return of our funds, which they have agree to owing us for the last several months, but have, thus far, failed to return The Ohio Attorney General's office has been notified As homeowners and consumers, we highly regret hiring this company

Wow- after years I still receive support and serviceWe once had very unaesthetic backyardLet's just say I bought a "fixer upper" homeThe one thing we really wanted was a backyard patio area that we could host parties, entertain guest and enjoy the summers in the outdoorsOur space was only medium size and had some challenges like drainage and lack of privacy in the main area we wanted the patioWe called several local companies and got mostly "no quotes"The explanation was our project was too daunting and unrealistic based on our budgetWell, Phil and his crew did an amazing job with working within our budget and spaceWith their experience, equipment and expertise they provided us with a design plan that fit in our budget and was amazing All I can say is that I feel like I'm at a mini resort all summer longWe now have a large stone patio area that fits our outdoor grill, patio furniture, two high top tables and this space also includes a gas fed fire pit, and bocce courtThey also added a stone porch with steps-both are just gorgeousWe also added some trees for privacy concerns as wellHonestly, this was no small taskWe had *** drainage and terrible soilI love the fact that years later I called with a question, they still know who we areI'm sure we are just a smaller job compared to some of their larger productionsbut they make me feel like I'm just as importantI know over the next years we will be having them complete more workI won't even call another landscape company
