I do not care that previous tenants has given a bad taste in CRI Properties INC mouth, I do not care about their personal choice, and I do not care about their issues with United States Marines.
All I want is for this company to submit an application to the owners of the home to see if they will allow 2 families to attend a home. I have a 1 year old that needs 24 hours supervision due to a birth defect and I don't think it's necessary to explain to this agency about my decisions on how I can best assist their needs.
All I want is for whoever runs this TIER 4 company to do what they were hire to do. I want to be given an answer from the owners of the home, which when I previously met and they were okay with having my daughter's care giver living with us. We are limited to agencies in this area, every one seems to have personal preference of this matter.
I'm tired of searching and I'm tired of being labeled as some irresponsible person. I have a 80% disability rating and a 730 Credit Score not because of irresponsibilities but because I have earned it with hard work and integrity.

I am a current CRI client. Recently I received a new contract agreement from them regarding my property management. I have been with CRI for over six years. The new contract contained many new clause that our original contract did not contain, simultaneously I received a $3000 estimate for maintenance with minimal explanation. I am beginning to believe that CRI is expecting their clients to not completely read what they send, and blindly sign and accept their correspondence. They provided no honest up front communication on significant changes, and that's what I expect from someone I am paying. I shouldn't have to wait to challenge their motives.","neg-1

There has been mediocre heat since September in my home. I reported this to CRI prop. and was told that the owner won't respond or is unwilling to fixIt's freezing in my hime which I rent from CRI Properties! They have used the excuse of it's the owner far to often. When I withheld the rent, it was CRI Properties whom threatened to take me to court and have my family evicted. CRI Properties told me via my pease that they would have all repairs made. CRI Properties sent one their tenants to fix the unit and it is still cold. I asked for a second opinion and I have yet to get someone. I have three children living in this home and two of them are asthmatic! I have received emails and phone calls from this company that say it is not their issue because the landlord won't fix it, however via my Ease they are the landlord and should fix this issue!Desired SettlementI want my rent back for the months that me and my children had to stay in this cold house. I want my electric bill paid because they knew this was an issue before I moved in, and during the summer months the air conditioner and the window unit working together cause such an increase that I can just up and move as they at CRI Properties suggested! my children have to take baths in this condition. I also have to prepare to go to work where I help the elderly! Then I come home to wash off the mess ... And it's freezing! It's not fair!Business Response /[redacted]/We were notified about Ms. [redacted]'s complaint on 1/11/2015. We have been in constant communication with her since December, when she reported the problem. We acted quickly to address her discomfort on each occasion she reported a problem, and we believe the problem has been resolved, since we have not been contacted since the HVAC unit was repaired after her last report of a problem with her heat. Some issues in her complaint need to be clarified. The technician who addressed the repairs is, in fact, one of our tenants, but he is also a fully licensed and insured Heating and Air Conditioning technician who has conducted repairs for our firm for the last 15 years. Also, we have offered Ms. [redacted] an opportunity to terminate her rental contract without penalty if she felt as though the repair to the unit was not adequate. Additionally, when Ms. [redacted] withheld rent while her issue was being addressed, she was advised that withholding rent violated the terms of her lease, and may be cause for eviction. We have contacted the Landlord regarding compensation for Ms. [redacted] due to her discomfort, and the Landlord did not provide authorization for such compensation. We understand that Ms. [redacted] was uncomfortable for brief periods while repairs were being made, but they have been accomplished, her requests have been addressed, and she is now comfortable in the home she is renting through our firm.Consumer Response /[redacted]/There has not been any contact between CRI properties and I since 12/12/15 when the hvac man came to fix the heater. He even stated that the other rooms would be cold. I told cri I would purchase heaters for these rooms and they said they would not pay for them. We only have heat on one side of the home, so my boys all cram into one room. Since there has not been any contact from CRI properties since December 12, except a letter threatening to evict my family for withholding rent, I have decided to to move, sending them a letter to vacate in 30 days. This does not help the fact that the electric bill remains 250.00 a month and must be paid in full before we transfer electric service. This does not make me comfortable, my family is not comfortable. This has actually caused unnessary stress in my household. How can we move comfortably with such high debts that are out of our hands. Had this issue been addressed before we moved into the house the electric bill would be our concern, not that of the landlord. So why won't the landlord help. As for CRI Properties, there are stil many issues on the 7 day check list that have not been addressed and they continue to blame the landlord. Such issues as the rotted porch and back door which has no installation...is part of the reason this home is so cold. Why rent unhabitable properties and then tell the tenant to just move, as if moving is cheap? Final Business Response /[redacted]/2/2/2015 We addressed this issue with the consumer, and she has indicated she is satisfied. We consider this issue to be resolved.

BEWARE! These people are all a bunch of scammers and fraud. We worked our butts off for three days doing the move out cleaning that was asked of us. We moved out June 25th 2016 and didnt get our security deposit back until August 15th 2016 (which was a hassel within itself). In the packet that contained our deposit was a letter stating that they charged us for a "whole house cleaning." $200.00 dollars to clean a 1,200 square foot house. The first issue with this is that we were there when the inspector went through our home. We spoke with him afterwards and he told us everything looked good other then a few marks on some of the walls that he would need to check our move in sheet for, and we had a few light bulbs out that would need replaced. I asked [redacted] (whome works for [redacted]) what needed cleaned since the inspector personally told us everything looked fine. She named off a handful of simple things such as the counter tops and light fixtures. After arguing about the house being clean when we left it I proceeded to ask about this "cleaner" that they used. Her name is [redacted]. I asked what company she works for and I was told there is not a company and that she is self employed. They calimed she has been cleaning for them for 17 years but when I did some digging and found the actual name of her so called company they havent even been in business that long. Her company goes by [redacted] cleaning and painting services. It states that they have only been in business since 2008. So I'd like to know how she has been their cleaner for 17 years when she hasnt even been in business that long. I had also asked [redacted] to provide her license number as it is required in order to charge someone for cleaning serives in the state of NC. They were unable to provide that as well as info on whether or not she has insurance. I asked to speak with the supervisor at [redacted] or be directed towards corporate and was then laughed at by [redacted] and told that their supervisor whose name is [redacted] was at lunch (the time was 2:29pm) and would have to call me when she is back in the office. It is now 4:00pm and I have yet to hear anything back from them.Desired SettlementWe would like that the $200.00 charge that they charged us for a "whole house clean" be refunded.Business Response We have investigated this complaint and it has no merit. Most of the consumer's research is in error. The consumer left the house in good condition, but it was not cleaned in accordance with the standards in the lease agreement. A self employed cleaning woman was contracted to complete the cleaning. We have asked her to provide a detailed summary of the discrepant items that were cleaned. After review, the cleaning charges are consistent with the work performed and her charge was consistent with most other service providers in our location.

This company have not been fulfilling their end of the contract. The company mentioned in the complaint have not been making repairs as they started they have. They have not been checking on the property like they are supposed to. They took 6 months to make repairs to a property that should have only taken a couple weeks at the most!! They also charged us for things that were not authorized and didn't hold to the contract and took it upon themselves to lower the rent price and keep extra money. This company was supposed to make repairs and make sure that a repair was made but didn't do their job and wanted myself to checked behind their employees or do their job for them. They have not held up their end of the contract at any time, this is not acceptable for this company to be doing this. They have also failed to collect money that is ours from a previous tenant. Their contract states that they will take them to court but all they did was report it to collections which has not proven to have helped in getting the funds to us.Desired SettlementReturn of all moneys paid for a service that was not done according to contract.Business Response /[redacted]/The consumer has been in contact with our office continuously over the last several weeks. We have provided information the consumer has requested concerning necessary expenses the consumer believed had been charged incorrectly. The consumer has terminated our services, and we are not aware of any unresolved issues concerning our previous management contract.Consumer Response /[redacted]/This company has not answered nor have they returned the funds that are in question!! They have not answered all the questions and I was charged multiple times for the same service!! This is not acceptable and I told them that I wanted my refund and they haven't said anything since then!!Final Business Response /[redacted]/The consumer has been in contact with our office. Her account has been closed and all funds have been appropriately reimbursed.
