Ms*** is requesting her deposit back and in my response I stated that a new check has been issued and sent to herShe rejected that response so I am confused how to help her any further when we have done what she wanted which was send her the depositShe wanted the end result to be for her to get her deposit back and a new check was sent to her on Friday January 13th and she should be receiving it any dayI believe we have done everything in our power and taken care of our part to satisfy this complaint

Ms. [redacted] is requesting the outcome to be to receive her deposit. We are working diligently to get this deposit back to her. She moved out in October as she stated and at the beginning of November we were in the process and noticed that on her 30 day notice to vacate she did not give a forwarding...

address as she stated. We contacted her to get the forwarding address and proceeded with her final statement and deposit once the address was received. Her refund was submitted to our corporate office and approved November 4th. At this point accounting send out her refund. In mid to late December we received a call from Ms. [redacted] that she had not received her deposit. At this point I contacted our corporate office and the check had not been cashed nor returned to us. I ask Ms. [redacted] to verify the forwarding address she gave us and at this point realized she had given us the wrong forwarding address. She became very defensive when I told her she gave us the wrong address and began to be disrespectful and told me that it is ridiculous that she has not received her money and that she better have it soon. I contacted my accountant and she stated I needed to wait seeing as the Holiday week was coming up and see if the mail was running behind and see if we received the check back. I explained to Ms. [redacted] that since she gave us the wrong address we would see if the original check was returned or if she received it and if not after the Holiday we could cancel and reissue, she was not please but agreed. I told her to notify me after the holiday if she still did not receive it. Yesterday afternoon my leasing agent received a call from Ms. [redacted] in which she immediately became aggressive and demanding and threatening my leasing agent that she was only going to give her so many days to get her check and such. My leasing agent ask her if she would like to talk to the manager and she hung up on my leasing agent. Immediately following we received a fax stating she was demanding her deposit and even though she gave us the wrong address we should have already had a new check sent to her and if we don't comply she will be filing a lawsuit. I called Ms. [redacted] to see what was going on since in my previous conversation with her I explained that if she did not receive it after the Holidays to contact me and I would reissue it, which she never did until yesterday. She immediately got aggressive on the phone and I ask if this was her work phone as to not get her in trouble and she stated yes and they are aware of what I am doing to her and that what I am doing is illegal and she is going to sue me and started raising her voice and talking over me and kept threatening to take me to court at which point I told her if she was going to threaten and be disrespectful I was going to end the conversation and at that point I did when she would not calm down. Her refund check has already been sent to my supervisor to cancel and reissue and already been approved. I am not sure how else I can help Ms. [redacted] other than the steps I have already taken. I am trying to get her refund to her as quickly as possible despite the holiday and the address mix up.
