Can we say non-organized and inability to actually COMMUNICATE, contact and schedule?
My mother was discharged from skilled nursing on a Tuesday The Home Health RN was quick to schedule but during the initial evaluation ON Wednesday, this allegedly licensed RN was unable to discern what a prolapsed bladder and prolapsed anus actually looked like VS neglect/elder abuse So, when adult protective services showed up hours later to investigate there was no confusion as to who called This is a positive and a negative Positive- they are mandated reporters and are doing what that believe is right Negative, she's a licensed registered nurse that has done schooling, clinicals, and state boardsShouldn't she know what this looks like? I mean if you work for a home-health agency primarily with a geriatric cliental, isn't that a pretty common topic within the field? After the initial evaluation, this RN scheduled an appointment for a few days later She told me at the door when she exited that my mom was really sick and needed a lot of healing Then the RN sent a text (not even a phone call) to say her Director and a nurse-aid would be back in days to shower my mom- not the RN, "because your mom needs more therapy and bath assistance than nursing." Really? You just said she had bedsores I'm pretty sure only an RN or MD can do wound careAlas, The director and a CNA came two days later for the shower They mentioned that this was "normal" to have the director come out GoodBefore the CNA left, she scheduled for the exact same time after the weekend Then minutes after her arrival time had come and pass, I made contact first by telephoning asking if I wrote it down wrong She said it was too far and her director would get back to meSo, hours ago it wasn't too far Why wouldn't they pre-inform us of this? Why did I have to call them minutes after a missed appointment? Then the RN that said she doesn't think my mom needs nursing care but merely therapies and showers sent a text (not asking if it works) but told us she would be here minutes after the original shower had been scheduled At that point I called the director who told me that it was too far for the CNA I queried if they were an east valley agency She explained they covered miles And I’m pretty sure that PT/OT only had hours to contact us about an intake A week later, we still haven't heard from them Good or bad, take it or leave it...that’s what we got.
I wouldn't have this company again for any reasonOwners are responsible for aides and nurses' conduct We should have gotten better care
