Critter Capture Response • Jun 25, 2020

Instead of the customer contacting us by phone, she immediately had her employer, which is an attorney, write a letter threatening to sue us. I have attached a copy of the letter from her attorney so you can see the threatening allegations he is accusing us of.

This is our response to the attorney since we can no longer have communication with the customer since she chose to have an attorney involved instead of trying to call us and work this out with us...In the twelve (12) plus years I have owned Critter Capture this is the first instance in which I have received a complaint from a customer of duct work being damaged due to alleged sabotage or "pure neglect" by one of my employees. I assure you that neither of these allegations are true and am prepared to defend my company should such action be necessary. Rather than argue with you about the allegations, and mention that the stairs were rickety when my workers got there, the paper towels were already in place, and there was already damage to the duct work, I would rather focus on solutions. Solutions which could easily have been implemented if your client had simply called and expressed her concerns to us and given my company the opportunity to remediate any alleged damages in an amicable and expedient manner.

Even though the customer threatened legal action rather than trying to resolve this matter, which I deny was in any way caused by my company, we want to satisfy her demands and afford her the excellent care we offer to all of our customers. We will pay $475.00 for the repairs which Moreau Thermal Services performed to "fix" the duct work. (We do not know if they caused the damage which they "fixed") The attic access door which was broken when we got there, (as were the other issues complained of), is hardly a matter which my company should be forced to pay, but as our goal is to satisfy the customer, we will capitulate and pay this $250.00 demand as well.

We will pay the $725.00, even though my company In the twelve (12) plus years I have owned Critter Capture this is the first instance in which I have received a complaint from a customer of duct work being damaged due to alleged sabotage or "pure neglect" by one of my employees. We will pay the $725.00, even though my company has done nothing wrong. This payment will end this matter finally and forever. We will not pay Ms. another dime, ever. We will wish her well and hope that she is satisfied. If you agree to accept the reimbursement you have asked for, and to move on under these terms, then this matter is resolved and we can say goodbye forever. Otherwise, all further communication, and/or litigation, will be between you and my attorney. Let me know where to send the check.

As of today, 6/23/2020, we have sent the letter via email to the customer's attorney. We offered to send an original by certified mail and he stated there was no need.

As of today, June 25, 2020, we received an email from the customer's attorney that they will settle for the $725 payment and they will consider the matter closed.

Once again, this could have all been settled with a phone call from the customer.

Customer Response • Jul 01, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I accept the settlement check sent to me for compensation of the damages. This matter is now closed.

Critter Capture Response • Jul 01, 2020

The customer has cashed our check for the damages she alleges my company did and this matter is now closed.

Critter Capture came out and gave me an estimate on removal of squirrels to repair the damage they had done to my roof and attic area. Rick was very professional and gave me a fair estimate. He explained to me how they were going to seal all the holes the animals could get through not just the two they had already entered. They also gave me a one year warranty that the animals would not get back into the attic. it has only been about 6 weeks, but we have not had any other problems! I would recommend Rick and his crew at Critter Capture to anyone looking to remove animals and keep them out of your home.
