I am rejecting this response because:When Crius applied the micro surface in 2012, the driveway was only years old The product was supposed to prolong the life of the drivewayThe product failed within the first six months, and it is not the integrity of the underlying asphalt, but the MacmatThe product was either installed incorrectly, or did not hold up as promised The surface peels up in large sections, covering over 80% of the driveway.I was told by Crius' general managers, and owner, Mark ***, that the product formula had changed, and apparently the original product did not adhere properlySince a minor repair in 2013, the Macmat has deteriorated all over the driveway, leaving a mess of peeling product all over my driveway edgesMark [redacted] has lied, procrastinated, and refused to mill off his defective product.I have had to hire another asphalt company to remove the Macmat since Mark [redacted] has neglected to complete the warranty work I have tried since to get his company to repair or remove his product from my driveway. My next course of action will be the Deptof Commerce, State of Minnesota and the Attorney General's Office, hoping that no one else has to suffer from this type of fraudulent sales.Regards, [redacted] ***

Crius Corp installed MACMAT, a micro surface not an asphalt overlay as detailed out in the letter from Mrs. [redacted].  Crius Corp was hired by [redacted] (since deceased) in 2012 to evaluate his driveway and come up with options.  The driveway showed isolated signs of distress and wide areas...

of raveling which is common for aged pavement.  At that time, we suggested an asphalt overlay for approx. $38,000 or a micro surface treatment to help prolong the life of the pavement until such time he was ready to do the asphalt overlay.   Microsurface products are designed to assist in extending the life of existing asphalt, although they look like new asphalt they are a thin layer usually 1/8 – ¼ inch thick and wear life can vary based on the existing surface condition at time of initial installation.  In the case of Mr. [redacted]’s driveway Crius installed MACMAT.   One year later in 2013 we received a call from Mr. [redacted] to come address a few spots that were showing signs of wear.  Crius crews assessed the driveway in 2013 and agreed to reinstall large portions of the driveway but also noted and advised the problem areas may continue because the asphalt pavement in general but especially in the heavily tree covered areas was failing and coming apart (the asphalt not the MACMAT).  We advised that this repair would hold temporarily but Mr. [redacted] should look to repave the driveway in the new future.  As the asphalt fails any material applied to the surface will intern fail.  In 2015 on request we returned to the driveway and suggested it was time for Mrs. [redacted] mill and overlay the driveway, we attempted to explain that additional thin surface treatments would not yield a different outcome and that it was the asphalt was past it’s useful life.  I offered to help by offering a deep discount on a new driveway but Mrs. [redacted] wasn’t interested.  From Crius corps position we clearly informed the client (Mr [redacted]) of the condition and what to expect given his options at that time, we installed a microsurface per his direction that in fact did delay the need for a new asphalt driveway by 4-5 years.  We performed the warranty work at no charge as specified by MACMAT’s one-year warranty.  We believe there is a clear misunderstanding by Mrs. [redacted] of the difference of asphalt pavement and microsurfacers.  We’ve remained consistent with our recommendations and stand by our products.  If Mrs. [redacted] would like assistance with installing a new driveway we remain ready to assist. Thank You,     Mark [redacted] CRIUS CORP CEO [redacted]copied and pasted from email.
