Crivelli Ford Inc Reviews (2)

Review: I purchased the car on 2-13-14. The warranty was for 3 months or 4000 miles. I first told the dealership about the transmission problem 4-28-2014 at 11:17am. I took the vehicle to the dealership on 5-3-14. They couldn't diagnose the problem and sent me to Crivelli Chevrolet in Beaver on 5-7-14. Crivelli Chevrolet in Beaver would not tell me anything and would not give me any paper work when they were finished. I tried to contact [redacted] at Crivelli Ford several times but never heard from him. I contacted [redacted] at Crivelli Ford Service and she returned my call saying [redacted] was gone until 5-23-14. She told the sales manager. I finally got in touch with [redacted] via text messaging on 5-27-14. After another week of getting a run-around, I took the car to Crivelli Ford on 6-10-14 without notice. No paperwork was found so [redacted] and [redacted] at Crivelli Ford made another appointment at Crivelli Chevrolet in Beaver for 6-11-14. Again Crivelli Chevrolet would not give me paperwork or information. I contacted [redacted] and he told me they could not find a problem with the transmission. I told him I was still having the problem but he said he couldn't do anything else. They couldn't find the problem so they said there wasn't one. This was done during the warrantee period of 3 months. I continued to have the same problem. On 8-13-14 I took my car to [redacted] Automotive in Monaca to change my transmission fluid. I paid for it myself. I continued to have the problem throughout the winter. On 4-17-15 I took the car to [redacted]'s Tranmissions in Beaver who has 15 years experience with GM vehicles. He spent allot of time driving the car and confirmed the problem. He says "Very intermittent on starting off in first. Trans falls out of gear and then bangs back into gear. Scanned PCM.....no codes for Transmission. Fluid levels and condition seem ok. Trans must have some type of internal sealing issue causing internal pressure loss. Will have to remove to inspect further. Could end up needing complete overhaul. Also both cooler line fittings on trans leaking need replaced."

On April 20,2015, [redacted] the service manager from Crivelli Ford emailed me that they could not assist with any warranty coverage for transmission repair because the coverage expired 5-13-14. After I submitted more information on 4-22-15, [redacted] replied "We consider this matter closed."Desired Settlement: Repair, or refund cost of repair, since notification was prior to warranty expiration.

Review: My 2008 Ford Taurus starting missing. I took the vehicle to [redacted] Tire. I was informed that the car needed new coils and spark plugs, and left it there for repair. When the $800 worth of work was completed, I received a call saying the repairs had been made, the car was running 90% better but still needed some work that would have to be performed at a Ford dealership. There was a bulletin out that said if the recommended repairs did not alleviate the problem(s), then it was an issue with the power train control module computer. I picked up the car & drove it and thought that it was still missing badly (maybe 50% better). Made an appointment with Crivelli Ford and took the car there the next day. Crivelli Ford called me and said since I had driven the car with a bad power train control module, that I had shorted out and ruined all the coils and spark plugs & wires & work that [redacted] had done. When I questioned this they insisted that all prior work was negated, and that I would have to have it all replaced along with the addition of the power train control module, and it would cost $1,506.67. I was told they couldn't get the part in for a WEEK, and that they had no loaners available for me, so I had to rent a car for $200. I called [redacted]. They called Crivelli Ford, and said Crivelli Ford admitted they did NOT test the work [redacted] did, nor did they have the parts they supposedly had to replace. [redacted] is adamant that Crivelli Ford is at fault here and that driving the car there could not have negated their work. They are not going to deal with Crivelli Ford nor refer anyone else to them. [redacted] is willing to speak to anyone at the Revdex.com on my behalf. I am seeking refund from Crivelli Ford and would like investigation into their practices for repair and maintenance. [redacted] ([redacted] in particular) even tried to do a 50/50 split of the $800 original repair cost but Crivelli Ford said no.Desired Settlement: I would like the original $800 repair cost that Crivelli Ford said was negated to be refunded to me. I would also like the $200 I had to pay for a rental (where in the United States would it take a week for a part for a Ford Taurus to ship?). I would like to know what history Crivelli Ford in Hopewell may have for unethical business practices, particularly in their maintenance and repair department. I would also like to know if the price they charged me (it ended up being $1,407.05) is fair.
