I have reached out to the Anytime Fitness (location: 28 S Main St, Travelers Rest, SC 29690) on numerous times via voicemail (864-***) and email: [email protected] from 3/5/20 forward with no response back to have my membership cancelled. The issues for cancelling are no staff onsite during advertised business hours, cleanliness of gym went down and disinfecting wipes were not available. Health concerns for lack of cleanliness.

I reached out to *** FITNESS at 888*** speaking to Mercedes and put a stop payment in effect, but she was not able to cancel my membership because the owners did not have that in place as it was said they walked away from the business. I have also contacted my credit card company to issue a stop payment that generally occurs on the 24th of each month. I have again phoned and emailed Anytime Fitness to state all of these facts again.

Concern with *** has been solved

My son *** has been turned over to a collection agency for an account he had at anytime fitness that my husband signed for him to have he is under the age of 18 and I want it to be removed and out of my son's name.

I initially made email contact with Sierra at anytime fitness May 20th regarding mine and my daughters account. I also visited the business two times before I moved away requesting cancellation. On May 28th I left a second voicemail asking to cancel the accounts because we were moving out of state. Sierra finally responded on May 28th say she needed proof of the move via a water bill, powerbill or license. I emailed the license to her on May 30th. On June 3 she responded saying that because my license was issued in 2015 and was the same license (although a different address than my local address) I could not use that as proof. On June 3rd I responded we were living in an RV at *** in *** SC. Because my husband has been a military member for the last 22 years, Federal law allows us to use our SC address as our permanent address. I have moved to *** and do not have a water bill, as I still live in my RV. I sent Sierra my Social Security Administration proof that my card was being mailed to me at my texas address. I have still not received a response on this correspondence. On July 8th I sent another email to the business asking them to cancel our memberships as we have been in Houston at that time for over a month (no response). On July 10th I filed a claim with my bank for the June transactions from Anytime Fitness Travelers Rest. I will be filing a claim today for the July transactions. Today July 23rd, I got a notification from *** regarding the chargeback on the account for the June transaction.

I left this business another voicemail today. I have not received any correspondence from them since June 3rd; they NEVER answer there phone, and when I was a member for the short time I was there was very rarely any staff on site.

Thank you for reaching out about this issue. Terri had told us that she moved out of state and sent us a copy of her license which were issued in 2015, therefore we could not accept it, due to the date the license was issued, it did not show us proof of her movement, which we needed in order to cancel both accounts. We have had members in the past state they had moved and sent us license with old issued dates just to get out of their contract early, which is what we assumed with this situation. She did not bring it to our attention that her husband was in the military and that both her and her daughter moved to *** where he was stationed to be with him. When it comes to military circumstances we're a lot more lenient, especially when it comes to cancelling. Once we found out the circumstances, yesterday, 07/23/19, I had responded letting her know that her and her daughters memberships were both cancelled. If we had known from the beginning it was due to military circumstances it would have been handled a lot differently. Again, thank you for reaching out.

I have attached the document from my campground. If you look at the start date we started staying here in our RV on May 29, 2019. The campground is located at ***.

I have attached the only document the campground could provide me. I have highlighted the dates 5/29-6/29/2019. We are obviously still here though as I am the Controller for rehab hospital in the area. Thank-you so much for your help with this.

Good Afternoon Kelli,

I spoke with our financial company yesterday, 07/24/19, the July payment was charged back, therefore her bank had reversed the payment, and money was never taken out. We reached out to Terri yesterday via email, informing her of this. We did not collect the $70, therefore we can not refund her a payment that was never collected. Both her and her daughters membership have been terminated. No other fees will be drafting, I also sent her a copy of both Proof of Cancellations. Thank you for reaching out.

I am being overcharged for membership. I was told it would cost around $24.99. For the last four months, I noticed I was charged $71.95, $71.95, $59.95 and $59.95 respectively. When I first saw the monthly charge of $71.95, I called the manager and was expecting a credit on my charge card. It never was credited, and the new amount is still in excess of what was quoted. I am trying to get a resolution and also a cancellation of my membership (I am no longer contractually obligated).

Good Morning,

I have already spoken to the member and we have issued a refund. She had transferred to our facility and we offered to drop her price down to $29.99 a month, she agreed, so we did. Unfortunately, we were unaware of the other fees that her original Anytime Fitness had put onto her account, so when she was being drafted the $29.99 monthly there were charges that the original gym put on there that we were unaware of, then causing the high amount to draft out. We're sorry for this misunderstanding. Thank you.
