Review: 0n 04/30/12, I paid the cronauer law center ([redacted] Cronauer) $3300. fee for a loan modification program. I was told the process would could be completed in as early as two months and no more than approximately four months. In july, 2012, I asked for another loan processor ([redacted]) because my loan processor would never call me back. I even asked to speak to a supervisor because I could never get any body on the phone. I always had to leave a message and never heard back. I never heard from a supervisor either. I finally heard back in February 2013/ almost March 2013. I was given the information of the person who was now handling my modification. I asked what happened from july 2012 to almost march 2013. I got no information. I asked to speak to a supervisor again. Again I was told there was no supervisor available. I told the person on the phone that if I didn't hear from a supervisor that I wanted a refund. I never heard from a supervisor. In January 2013/ almost february 2013, I put my house up for sale in fear of losing my home from the drawn out modification process. I explained this to the people of Cronauer law firm even though there was no contact from them since july 2012. I advised them that since I never heard from a supervisor that I wanted a refund and they refuse to give me the information so that I can request a refund. I never received any mail from the Cronauer law firm only emails initially. Once they got my money it's like I didn't exist. It is also ironic that I never heard back from them until after my house was put onto the housing market for sale. They have been beyond difficult to deal with, refuse to answer any questions I have, and refuse to give me a refund or at least give me instructions for requesting a refund. it's been a year!!!!Sincerely Concerned Consumer[redacted]###-###-####Desired Settlement: I would like a refund because they told me 4 months at the most initially. It has been a year and have put my house up for sale since. I would like the $3300. back that I gave them.They are a horrible company and should be looked into for scamming people out of money. The last time I asked for a refund (05/01/13) I was hung up on.

I spoke to the law firm handling the complaint. I was advised that the =

federal trade commission has gotten involved. A court appointed receiver =

has been appointed and no restitution has been made as of yet. I was =

advised that there is an upcoming hearing on the matter, but no date was =

given. I was also advised that the assets and funds have been frozen in =

the meantime for the company I made the complaint against/ [redacted] =
