I am rejecting this response because: My family and I spent the entire summer in a condo without air-conditionCroppMetcalfe sent several technicians to fix the problems without any successThe A/C Unit was misdiagnosed every single timeThe replacement of the TP valve ( at a cost of $) as recommended by the Tech did not fix the problemIn fact it worseCroppMecalfe should reimburse me since it did not fix the problemCroppMecalfe has admitted that the TP valve was not the problemThe fact remains that the A/C unit is not fix as of todayI asked CroppMetcalfe to provide me with a portable A/C unit while waiting for the repairs and they did notIt was not easy living in a unit during the hottest months of the year
My offer is more than reasonable. Please reconsider

The technician responded to the residence to replace a leaking pipe of the baseboard heating system and service the heating system When the appointment was set they were told the pipe was behind a toilet which would need to be removed in order to make the repairsWhen the technician arrived he saw the pipe was behind the toilet and said he needed a plumber to come out to move the toilet and fix the pipeThat technician left, and the plumber came several hours later, in the afternoonThe plumber arrived and told my elderly father the INCHES of 3/4" pipe would cost $An outrageous priceHe then stated that in order to fix the pipe, he would need to move and reset the toilet for an additional $ My father is on a fixed income and preparing for hip replacement surgeryHe had to get the work done in preparation of being incapacitated during the winter monthsFurther, had he refused the work, he would've been charged $just for the plumber to give the estimateMy father, reluctantly, gave the ok for the work to be doneWhen the plumber was finished, my father inspected the work and determined that the cover panels had not been replaced before thr toilet was reset Concerned he would be charged to move the toilet again, he tolx the plumber to leave it The plumber, then, informed my father the original technician would return the following morning to test the heating systemThe next morning, the heating technician came an determined the "Taco Circulator" needed to be replaced He was told that replacement would cost an additional $ He was told a $deposit was requiredDAYS later the tech returned, replaced the part and did the "Spring Special" for $When I contacted management to complain about the pricing, I was originally told by Jeff H., that the $was to cover labor and should have covered the moving of the toilet (which would make the price a little more reasonable)He stated he would look into it and get back to me After leaving several messages, I was finally able to reach Jeff weeks laterAt this time I was informed that the prices came out of the book and there was nothing he could doHe then explained they "aren't the most expensive but [they] aren't the cheapestHe stated that the tech would come out to fix the base boards and he would refund the $if he determined it wasn't a justified charge Try offered to do a free inspection in the Spring to compensate for the time it took to finalize the repairsCropp Metcalfe took advantage of the timing and took advantage of an elderly man walking around with a cane on a fixed income Furthermore, I don't understand how Jeff Hwent from agreeing the labor covered by the $included moving the toilet to justifying a $charge to, essentially, replace INCHES of 3/4" pipe

To whom it may concern,
The newly installed HVAC system we put in for [redacted] on 4/22/14 did experience a problem with a failed part (TXV). Upon ordering the valve from the manufacture ([redacted]) we were informed the part was on back order from the factory which could take up to a couple weeks...

to receive. It took a couple days but we worked with the [redacted] Representative to get approval for a speedier upgraded repair of replacing the entire coil which included a new TXV. We were able to ge this new coil and get it installed 7/8/14. Our records indicate the new coil and TXV were installed correctly and have been and operating properly since. I tried on a couple of occasions to reach [redacted] by phone to make sure everything is working to his satisfaction but was unsuccessful and could not leave a voice mail because the mail box is full so I reach out to him by email. (see attached).
If [redacted] has any future dissatisfaction we would appreciate him contacting us with the opportunity to work it out.
Thanks you for your time and attention,

The offer of $790 in...

addition to the $1790 is unreasonable.  CroppMetcalfe has made a fair offer:$790 refund and a free maintenance in the spring.
$1790 refund and no further obligations from CroppMetcalfe.
CroppMetcalfe has taken all measures to resolve this mechanical issue including replacing system, getting manufacture involved numerous times and numerous service calls at no charge even though warranty expired in December 2011.

On 6/11/14 customer called for a spring tune-up.
Technician performed spring tune-up and found the system low on refrigerant
Tech offered to do leak search and customer declined and initialed the decline
box on the invoice.  Tech also recommended 2 water safety...

devices on
equipment.  The first product was a ** Trap that goes on the primary drain
that turns the system off in case of a clogged drain to protect from
flooding.  The second device was a wet switch that is designed to shut
down the system in case water was in the emergency pan.  We installed
gas-guard caps on the refrigerant access ports.  CroppMetcalfe has chosen
this brand because it has a better seal than the no-vent brand and the JB
brand.  The tool that opens the caps no matter what brand is not special
order they can be purchased at any HVAC supply store.  This year when we
came out for the seasonal maintenance we found the unit low on refrigerant
again and we offered to do a leak search customer declined.

Here is the invoice description which resulted in the charge: [[Tech #[redacted] [redacted] Service Date: 06/20/2015]] Checked no a/c RTU found clogged drain line cleaned up and checked operations of condensate switch working good at this time all unit running ,will take little while before cools down at the from area. Clogged drain lines are not covered under the 1 year parts and labor warranty.  Customer had the opportunity to purchase a maintenance plan which includes inspections and declined which would have taken care of this issue.   Chris B[redacted]Residential Operations ManagerCroppMetcalfe Services###-###-####www.croppmetcalfe.com[redacted]Fairfax, VA [redacted] CM-Services-Logo

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The fact remains that the service that was to remedy the problem we were having did not permanently fix the AC unit since less than a year the same problem did reoccur. All the bells and whistles CroppMetcalf put inside of the unit did not prevent the same exact problem from continuing to occur; therefore I had no choice but find a highly recommended AC Tecnician to take care of it since CroppMetcalf did return my message to them about this problem.
The Independent Technician said he has seen this same pattern take place with other clients of his that are asking for repair to find the companies are merely just wanting to sell other products instead of actually repairing the thing that actually needs fixing. He was able to find and repair the problem without having to overcharge for a "leak search" which did repair and fill the unit with the needed refrigerant. The CroppMetcalf Technician went ahead to fill the unit to test and continued to charge for the amount (pds of refrigerant) to get it working but unfortunately was not the permanent and actual repair and therefore why I am addressing this in the first place.
Again, it seems incredible to me if the Independent Technician I hired who has been in business since 1967 say the Gas Guards were preventing him from working on our unit and have to do a rush order on a tool to open it up in order to work on it. I know he was not making that up since that is what caused more of a delay! Also nothing ridiculous about the fact that the ** Trap blocks dirt build up since the clear tube is in an "S" shape which causes the unit to shut down. What was pointed out to me, is that the shortest distance between two points is a "straight line" which causes no blockage and has not ever since! As I offered before the Infependent Technician can be contacted for verification of what was conveyed to me to the Better Buisiness Bureau.

CUC owns a 12-unit apartment building. The hot water heater stopped functioning and we called CM. The technicians labeled our emergency as mission critical and said he needed to order a part. The part was not ordered, they took our $105 for the call and did nothing. Now our maintenance guy is scrambling to find another company for this emergency. CM brought out our small business plumbing company who installed the hot water heater but this is not a good company if you are accustomed to good service and a company that cares about its customers.

Dear **. [redacted] and [redacted] ,

0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 11pt; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">                                ... We have reviewed our invoice number [redacted].  The Zimic's called us and requested us to come out to their home and determine why their thermostat was not working. We explained that there would be a diagnostic charge of $105.95  to determine the problem and that once the problem was determined we would give them pricing for our solutions. The customer agreed to this prior to us scheduling the service call. Upon arrival we confirmed this diagnostic charge and when the technician determined the that the replacement of the thermostat was necessary, we than gave them options on replacing the thermostat. The $197.00 to replace thermostat is a flat price that includes the installation and warranty of the product. We endeavor to provide quality service and products  to our customers which includes taking care of the customer with products that we carry on our vehicles to make it as convenient as possible  for them (when available) and due this at fair and reasonable prices. I believe we have done this for our customers. But we do not wish to have our customers feel unsatisfied with our service, so we will credit the 105.95 diagnostic back to the Zimic's via the credit card that paid for the service with and hope that they will give our service another opportunity.

Thank You for allowing us to service you,

Sincerely,

[redacted] was originally quoted to patch one half sheet of drywall due to water leaking.  The ceiling once opened revealed further damage to Plaster, not drywall.  [redacted] was informed there would be additional cost for the repair and approved the technician to do the work.  It is...

the companies contention [redacted] owes [redacted] the additional funds as he was quoted during the job.
