First of all, I am not a manSecondly, I had a witness with me, I never agreed to pay $190.00. We walked away, went drove to the front where the cashier is and asked for the owners info. Lastly, the car is simonized twice a year and washed weekly. I reported this because the owner should know that the *** was making his own prices. Especially because two woman came in, The car has 27,miles on it and like new, I was only trying to bringing it to a detailer closer to home, I am only sorry that I did not read all of the negative comments on line before going to Cross Bay Car Wash & Lube

The complete detail service for $149.99 plus tax that the customer is referring to includes interior shampoo, simonize wax, armorall in/out or leather conditioner. The customer's car is over four years old and the...

paint was not in good condition, with time the car paint looks dull and full of little scratches from the sun exposure and snow. The customer wanted the car to look good so the [redacted] explained to him that in order for the outside be good he needed compound or clay to be done which is an additional service that takes extra time to do. We charge additional $69.99 for compound or clay. The job that the customer requested takes about two hours to be done and it was explained to him it would cost him $149.99 + $69.99 = $219.98 plus tax. The [redacted] gave him a discount and he agreed to pay $190.00 plus taxes. When customer came to the cashier to pay for services he got upset that we were charging him the taxes. We are require by law to charge sales tax on any service or merchandise sold. There are signs at the location with pricing of all services available. We have business cards by the cash register with the company's information and employees always communicate to the owner any issues and he would get involved if he thinks it is necessary. We feel that it was a misunderstanding from the customer's part. [redacted], the [redacted] has been working for our company for many years and we don't have reasons to think he is a thief or have grounds to fire him. We sincerely apologize for the customers' experience at our location.

BEWARE...
Went to have my car detailed. I was told by the cashier, I had to speak to the manager Saul, who wasn't available at that time. I called the following Moring and Saul said he had to see the car, a 2011 well kept Honda accord. I brought the car in and he said it was in terrible condition ( the car is very well maintained) and it would cost $200.00. My friend and I started to walk away and he dropped the price to $189.00. When I asked why the sign says complete detailing in side and out for $149.00, he said O.K. but I have to charge you tax. I attempted to get the owners name & number but the cashier all of a sudden did not understand English. I think the owner should be aware that his manager and possible receptionist are making their own prices and pocketing some or all of the money. Or perhaps SAUL the thief is the owner!!!!

I would like the [redacted] who is a thief and very rude fired and I would like the owner to be more aware of the what is going on and the people he has working for him. I would also like to see a sign with his name and number available for complaints.
