Cross Bay French Cleaners

Review: I took my coat to the cleaners and came back to pick it up on a Saturday, which was one week. When I arrived home, I realized the belt on my coat was missing. I called the cleaners and they told me to look around in my house to see if I had dropped it or lost it. They told me that they would check the cleaners to see if it was left there and they would call me on Monday. They NEVER called me, so I called them instead. The lady stated on the phone that I was the "only customer" that brought a coat to the cleaners with a belt. They said that they called all the customers that picked up there clothing to see if they received a belt with their items. No one saw the belt. She told me to give it a few more days to see if something would pop up and for me to continue to look around my house to see if I dropped it anywhere. I waited until Thursday and no one called. I went to the cleaners with my coat to see if they found it and what they were going to do if they didn't find it. When I arrived the lady stated that they still didn't find it. So I asked them what they were going to do. She said the only thing they could do is make me a belt. I asked if it would be the same material because it is a wool coat. She was hesistant and said she could find similar material and make a belt. You could tell she didn't want to make a belt. She stated that it was my fault and that I should've checked the coat before I left the cleaners. But I didn't know they were going to lose the belt on the coat. I stated that this was a $150.00 coat and I would prefer to get a refund. The lady laughed in my face and said that they do not give back refunds and all they could do is give me a 10% discount when I come back. But why would I come back if they lost my item. And if thats their policy why don't they have the policy written anywhere in the store or a sign anywhere. I have taken a lot of my clothes to this cleaners and never had this issue. This is terrible customer service and I felt discriminated against.Desired Settlement: I would like at least a $100.00 refund for this inconvenience.
