Cross Country Movers

Do not use this company! We started with United Moving and Relocation Services; unknown to us, they contracted us out to Cross Country. We wanted to move 18 boxes and 3 suitcases from DE to OR for our daughter. The 1st estimate "guaranteed - you guys don't have nearly enough to meet the minimum" of $1400. When the movers arrived from CC, "oh no, you won't fit the minimum; it'll be $400 more" and you need to give us a tip in cash. We asked for a delivery date of 6/12/15 or shortly thereafter; they guaranteed 21 business days max! After many phone calls to their handling site called MovingClaims.net where we were supposed to be able to track our shipment, and received forms to file a moving claim (no info on where our stuff really was), our stuff was delivered on 8/11/15! This was after it sat in Portland for at least 10 days with another company (handed off once again). Terrible experience.
