I was charged 535 over the original amount they told me. Do not use this company. Looks like this is what they do all the time. Horrible customer service.

This scam shady company was hired by my elderly mother to move my parents from Massachusetts to largo Florida. They were paid in full packed my parents home everything they owned they are 80 and 86 years old, the truck never showed up stole everything my parents owned everything. They do not answer the calls on number provided to her. My dad has late stage Alzheimer's and is beyond confused and looking for his "things" I guarantee I will track these bd down and God help them when these lowlife ss are found because they screwed with the wrong person and will pay for what they've done to my parents who worked all their lives only to have this fake business steal it all! South Boston is coming for you guys even him bulger couldn't hide forever. We'll be seeing you soon douche bags. That's a fact.

Hi! I am in the process of filing 2 civil legal actions against the 2 companies involved - one being Cross Country - in my similar situation. If u want, contact me (email @ end) - I’d much rather have a class action filed for as many people as experienced this theft/scheme.

It’s the only chance we have - unless the attorney generals work quickly on claims they have & prosecute.

Nightmare>late demanded money under table>lots of damage>no one answers calls> rate was doubled> stay away

Review: Company collected deposit (via credit card) for moving services but could not provide the services on the original agreed upon date. Per the company's policy, a refund of the deposit was due within 7 business days. Plus I was told by a customer service representative ([redacted]) that I would receive the refund. About 3 weeks later I still did not receive a refund and I called the company on 4/16/13. The representative ([redacted]) was rude and told me that if they deem that I was owed a refund it would be processed by the end of the week. Still waiting for the refund.Desired Settlement: Refund, including interest charged by my credit card because the refund wasn't processed within a timely manner.

Review: Cross-Country Moving provided us with an estimate of $375 for a 4-hour move across town. Once they had loaded the truck with all of our belongings, they presented us with a bill nearly three times the size of the original estimate ($942) and refused to release our items until we signed. The bill included over $300 in packing supplies - 10 large boxes at $10 a piece and several feet of bubble wrap at $2/foot. We had only asked them to bubble wrap our 50" flat screen TV, but they bubble wrapped several other items, including our couch, and charged us for all of it. Our 3-hour move turned into a 6-hour move and they added a 5% fuel surcharge on top. When we called to complain to the manager, she was very rude to us and tried to turn it around on us by saying if they hadn't bubble wrapped the couch it might have ripped and that we should have been "all packed" and "prepared" (so we would have not required packing services). We were prepared but had not anticipated being charged for the wrapping of items we did not ask to have wrapped. As she pointed out to us, these hidden extra fees for packing supplies and fuel surcharges are included in the original email sent by the company, yes - but are buried in fine print and were not included in the total estimate. I feel that we were scammed by the company and that they acted extremely unethicallyDesired Settlement: I would like to see Cross-Country Moving provide fair, realistic estimates that fully reflect the cost of the job. If they are going to charge exorbitant fees for packing supplies they need to be upfront and transparent about it and make sure the customer understands all charges prior to completing the job. In this case I feel we were unfairly charged exorbitant packing fees and treated very poorly and would like a partial refund.
