Auto Body Collision and Glass repaired a Chev Cobalt LT for *** ***. The repair required replacing the left rear tail lamp assembly and the rear bumperThe Job Number was and the estimate of record is included as an attachment. We started the repair on 5-18-16.
The vehicle was picked up by Peter *** (third party) on 5-20-for *** ***. Mr. *** provided a check from Allstate issued to *** ***, and endorsed by *** *** to pay for the repairAlso attached are pictures of the vehicle prior to repairing the vehicle, including the lit up gauges showing no TPMS light onThe TPMS sensor is located inside the wheel and sends a signal to the control module located behind the dash boardMost TPMS failures are caused by tire pressure sensors that have reached the end of the road. The batteries inside the tire pressure sensors have a service life that typically ranges from to years, or 60,miles. Many times pressure sensors are replaced with the first tire change because the life expectancy of the tire pressure sensor will not go beyond the life of the second set of tiresOur repair did not involve anything related the tires, wheels, or the control panel. The complaint from the Mr*** occurred over a month later on 6-and I believe (not sure of this being a fact) after tires were replaced by customerWe make it a practice to help our customers with any and all reasonable requestWe do not feel this is reasonable request. I looked into this last week. I found that the customer requested email correspondence when the vehicle was dropped off to start the repair. This we did not do. So we are mailing a check to the customer today for $

I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** and find the resolution is satisfactory to meI sent an email on 07/16/stating there was a resolution to the complaint

I did meet with *** yesterdayHer complaint was resolvedI was not aware that she had filed a complaint with the Revdex.com until I opened this todayI just called her & she said she was mailing you a letter today to say complaint was resolved to her satisfaction.Darrell Patterson

1.  I appreciate your inclusion of the pictures - I believe they prove the fact that this was not an existing issue when I brought the car in for service.2.  When I picked up the car, it did not start.  Therefore, I don't feel like the argument "well that isn't something we worked on" doesn't have a lot of credibility.  Is it possible that the disconnection of the battery has something to do with the sensor not working properly now? If a business is going to continue to be highly-rated by the well-respected Revdex.com, I feel like this is the kind of repair that should be done.  The sensor was in working order when the car arrived, and it was not in working order when it left.  You tell me whose responsibility it is in the meantime?
