Review: We purchased a 2003 [redacted] from Crossen Auto on January 10, 2014. We has signed an agreement saying that we were purchasing the vehicle as is with the understanding that we were told nothing was wrong with the vehicle. The salesman [redacted] made sure to let us know that the car had been looked over and was all set to go. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot I noticed a shifting issue but assumed it was the cold and the car just warming up. The next day the car had the same issue but was even worse. I called the dealership and they told me to bring the car right in and they would have their mechanic look it over. They called us back later that day to inform us that the mechanic did “Not” have the “proper” tools to work on a [redacted] car. In my opinion if they admitted they don’t have the proper tools to work on our car then that must mean they lied to us when they originally said they looked it over and it was all set to go. They couldn’t have possibly known it was running safely if they never had the proper tools. They ended up asking our permission to send the car to a specialist who deals with foreign cars. We agreed and they sent it to be diagnosed. Crossen called us two days later to inform us that the transmission was completely blown and in addition the check engine light was now flashing. They informed us that there was not much they could do because it was sold “as is”. [redacted] the salesman also made it very clear to us that the mechanic was being “fired” over the issue. In my opinion if a dealership is firing there mechanic over this issue that is an admission to guilt that the car was not safe to sell. Later on we contacted the manager who told us that the mechanic was “not fired” and he was not sure why [redacted] had lied to us about that. So at this point we feel we have been lied to twice. In addition to the condition of the vehicle this dealership had been completely uncommunicative. The owner had told us over the phone that he was going to do some researching to let us know what he can come up with to help us out. He said he would call us Monday January 19 to let us know something. It is now Tuesday February 3 and we have not heard anything. We tried calling and know one has picked up the phone. Bottom line is they have our car and our money and I am very disappointed in the service we have been given. We choose to go to a dealership over buying any old car off the street because we wanted a safe vehicle for our 3 children. Instead we choose to go to a dealership and were sold a vehicle with a blown transmission after only having it in my possession for less than a week. I sent the dealership a fax Friday January 30th letting them know if I didn’t here back from them I was going to issue a complaint. It is now Tuesday February 3, 2015 and we have still not heard back from them.Desired Settlement: I told the dealership I would like for them to either repair the vehicle, refund us the money and take the car off our history, or provide us with another reliable car from the dealership.

NEVER NEVER!!! buy a car from here. This is by far the worse and most unprofessional auto business owner I have ever met. The owner agreed to a price with his employee for 25,000 . When I called the next morning (November 14, 2015) to say I wanted my mechanic to look at it, the owner called me and said he could not sell me the car for that price and to come get my deposit. When I got there I explained how he broke the contract and how this was not good a repeatable business deal. He wanted me to give him my copy of our contract but I refuse. When I told him that I was going to write a review on his business. He began to say derogatory and offensive words such as "I hate people like you" .."get the [redacted] out of here" .."you people think a white man is trying to get over on you but it's really you people who are the problem" . [redacted] police was called and a there is an report on the disorderly contact he displayed. When the police arrived he told the officer I hope you’re wearing a body camera for these people, you know they like to sue". I requested that he erase my credit history from his computer also and he refused. I have never witness such barbarous and insulting behavior from a business owner.
I went to a more reputable dealer and they looked up the car by the vin number. The car fax showed that the car could not be sold back to the auction and the car fax said deleted history which mean something is not being reported. BEWARE on the quality of the cars are not what they say

Review: On November 13, 2015 I visited Crossen Auto and place a down payment and completed a contract on a 2011 [redacted] Highlander. The owner agreed to a price with his employee for 25,000 . He began to say derogatory and offensive words such as "I hate people like you" .."get the f[redacted] out of here" .."you people think a white man is trying to get over on you but it's really you people who are the problem" . I requested that he erase my credit history from his computer also and he refused. I can mail the contract and the police report that was filed
