Hi [redacted] ,I am sorry to hear that you chose not to stay after the first day of the programI understand that kids, schedule, even the holidays are a challenge during this timeFor these reasons I set a minute appointment with each candidate to discuss commitmentDuring this interview I made it clear and in detail that I do NOT want anyone to sign up if they feel like work, kids, or other priorities would get in the way of their attendance for this classI said clearly and in detail that me the trainer, and you the client would both lose if you feel that you would miss ANY classes ( I even said that I dont want your money unless you are sure to make all sessions )I said the following to you and the interview to you verbatim: " If you sign up and pay 250.00, and quit you and I would BOTH LOSEYou ( client ) would lose $250.00, and I would be out one of the clients that are on the wait listI do not want you to sign up, unless you are FULLY COMMITTED "I also have clients that are currently in the program that can attest to this exact same statement, in their interview. If money was all I cared about and not the client, I could easily have called one of those clients on that list to fill your spot that you canceled on after day Again, I dont feel like this is the right thing to do for the customer and for the business, just for 250.00.Thanks, [redacted] @ [redacted]

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:The unprofessionalism from Cross Fit Brige City and the owner *** *** are beyond comprehension! I refuse to engage in this back and forth on what was clearly NOT said about the money being "non-refundable"! It would make sense if there was a no money back policy included in the "gym liability waver" along with other legal information needing signature! Although I don't like the pettiness, I do feel the need to address and point out the flaws in *** ***'s "verbatim" interview with me, first he hadn't yet filled all the spots available when we had our interview, so there is no way he could quote himself "verbatim" during our interview stating "I would lose $250, and a person on the wait list would lose a potential spot should I quit!" Proving what he says is false! Second the discussion *** had with the other or more applicants has no relevance to what he and I discussed during our interview, what so ever! We are all individuals and our questions, health, and concerns for the program will vary, and are personal to each individual! Also how one can remember verbatim so accurately a conversation with one person, enough to even quote it, however all the positions had yet to be filled, while interviewing multiple people a day! Bottom line is, it is bad business, AND just wrong to take money from someone for something and then not getting anything back, no matter how you slice it! *** had and has had the oppertunity to make it right, and has not! To stay on point *** knew after the first day I would not be returning, and had an opportunity to fill the position that day with a candidate from the wait list! I've suggested a partial refund, but *** does not want to come to any refund solution inspite of not having a no money back contract written, verbal or otherwise!!
Sincerely,
*** ***

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:*** *** and I NEVER discussed a no money back policy at ANY point, and he was very aware from the beginning of my concerns from my health concerns to my toddlers and my schedule and baby sitter concerns for themNor should I feel the need to point out how many times I tried to come to a solution in a professional manner, yet I am the customer, a business and gym owner interested in everyone's health and fitness and not just taking people's money, would have actually tried to resolve the problemWhy didn't *** call one of the people on the waiting list, since he knew I wasn't coming back after the first day? *** was only interested creating a Facebook flyer gimmick to attract people and get them in the gym to join so he could get their money, and he doesn't care about their health, fitness, or if they leave the program after he has their money! He could have called someone on the wait list after the first day when I knew I couldn't continue, and worked out a discount for themThe proof he is only out for people's money is in my exact situation, hence why he has no desire to give me ANY of my $back after I only attended a hour class on the 1st day.
Sincerely,
*** ***

Hi [redacted],I am sorry to hear that you chose not to stay after the first day of the program. I understand that kids, schedule, even the holidays are a challenge during this time. For these reasons I set a 15 minute appointment with each candidate to discuss commitment. During this interview I made it clear and in detail that I do NOT want anyone to sign up if they feel like work, kids, or other priorities would get in the way of their attendance for this class. I said clearly and in detail that me the trainer,  and you the client would both lose if you feel that you would miss ANY classes ( I even said that I dont want your money unless you are sure to make all 18 sessions ). I said the following to you and the interview to you verbatim: " If you sign up and pay 250.00, and quit you and I would BOTH LOSE. You ( client ) would lose $250.00, and I would be out one of the 8 clients that are on the wait list. I do not want you to sign up, unless you are FULLY COMMITTED "I also have 28 clients that are currently in the program that can attest to this exact same statement, in their interview. If money was all I cared about and not the client, I could easily have called one of those 8 clients on that list to fill your spot that you canceled on after day 1. Again, I dont feel like this is the right thing to do for the customer and for the business, just for 250.00.Thanks,[redacted]@[redacted]

Hi [redacted],

I wanted to respond to your concerns and complaint you filed with the Revdex.com about the 6 Week Challenge. I am sorry that you were not able to complete the full program, and hope you are in fact able to find something you enjoy. The program interviewed over 150 people, and we accepted 30 of those women. We stated clearly in the interview we were ONLY looking for the fully committed. I personally stated that I DO NOT want your money unless you are prepared to FINISH the program. The program has 2 classes over the holidays ( thanksgiving day, and [redacted]tmas Eve ) so we know the schedule is tough. Also, we stated that the intensity of the workouts is HIGH, and we only want you to commit your $250 unless you KNOW you will show up for all classes. I had 8 people on a waiting list for your class, so we really would not take your money if you had ANY intentions of dropping out. If we would have known you would not be able to continue after the first day, we would have signed up one of the 8 on the waiting list instead. As a business we HATE to see you not complete, because that spot could have gone to someone else ready for the commitment. However, we stated this $250 is a one time fee NOT a contract. Under ZERO circumstances is there a refund once the challenge has begun. So, no other money will be charged.

Your husband did come up to the gym, and I told him I would happily get him a copy of ALL paperwork you have signed. However, he said he has out of town work, and would rather just take a picture of the documents. So I let him in order to help you guys out. Once again, you may have copies of ANY and ALL signed paper work from CrossFit Bridge City. Lastly, my girlfriend was your trainer. She handled your concern, and she did so within 3 hours of contact ( same day ) as your request. She is CrossFit certified, and the manager of CrossFIt Bridge City. She was the appropriate one to have dealt with your concern. If you still need to talk to me I am always available and will be glad to answer any questions or concerns you may have. My contact number is 409-673-4795. Good luck, and all the best,
