Crossroad Nissan/Ford knowingly sold me a defective vehicle without disclosing the defect or the fact the defect could have been repaired under warntyI purchased a [redacted] from Crossroads Ford of Wake Forest dealership last year, which was transferred from Crossroads Nissan of Wake Forest on 3/2013 for this transaction. Unbeknownst to me at the time, the Nissan Corporation extended its warranty on the year and model of my vehicle, among other models, due to a Class Action lawsuit that found Nissan responsible for a defective design of its radiator/transmission fluid cooling system. The transmission hose housed in the radiator was known to crack; causing the radiator fluid to mix with the transmission fluid; thereby, damaging the transmission. My purchase of the [redacted] was 3 months after the Class Action lawsuit was settled and warranty extended. I purchased the vehicle with 80,000 miles on it, which means that I could have had the vehicle repaired within warranty had the dealership disclosed the defect and warranty option. It is my belief that this vehicle was willingly sold to me with a known uncorrected defect that placed me and my family in unreasonable danger. My vehicle is now inoperable due to this defect and according to Crossroads Nissan's estimate, will now cost $5,200 to repair. The practice of selling vehicles with known defects is not only unethical, it also places the consumer at significant risk. To expect the consumer to pay to repair a defective vehicle that could have been repaired upon its sale is unconscionable.Desired SettlementI am seeking the total repair of my vehicle by Crossroads Nissan at no cost.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] General ManagContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Mr [redacted] purchased a [redacted] from CrossRoads Ford of Wake Forest on 3/20/13. The vehicle had 82,199 miles on it at the time of purchase, per his contract. Nissan has the following warranty extension on the above issue:100% Warranty Coverage up to 80,000 miles or 4/30/14$2,500 Co-pay from 80,000 - 90,000 miles or 4/30/15$3,000 Co-pay from 90,000 - 100,000 miles or 4/30/16The customer purchased the vehicle with 82,199 miles back in March 2013, thus eliminating the vehicle from the 100% Coverage up to 80,000 miles. We (CrossRoads Nissan of Wake Forest) performed an Used Car Inspection on the vehicle 2/8/13, and have not had the vehicle back into our location until this current visit of 9/2/14, with 106,082 miles. Please let me know if there is anything further you need from us.Thank you[redacted]General ManagerCrossRoads Nissan of Wake Forest[redacted] - Showroom

Complaint[redacted] from Crossroads Nissan slipped an additional warranty which was declined into my paperwork. I caught it and requested it be cancelled on 7/3/15. I have signed paperwork on that date. Deal # [redacted], cust #[redacted]. [redacted] was to send in a check for $4,895. After two weeks of waiting, I called [redacted], and he never sent the check to [redacted] to cover the cost he owed. On the 17th I claimed if he did not take are of this request I would escalate. [redacted] claims he sent the check, [redacted] told me no such thing ever happened. I am also paying additional interest on this running scam. I need this taken care of.Product_Or_Service: Automobile WarrantyDesired SettlementI need this check to be in the hands of [redacted] as of the time the issue was cancelled, 21 days ago. [redacted] needs to be accountable for this. Please close this case. Issue resolved

We were promised certain services for my vehicle at the time of purchase, and now the dealer claims he has no record of the deal that we made.On July 30, 2015 I purchased a new [redacted] from the above dealership. During the negotiations with both the salesman and finance manager they offered me 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations if I purchased the vehicle that day. The finance manager mentioned that he would either come down more in the price, or leave the oil changes/tire rotations in and keep the purchase price at the higher amount. I agreed to the 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations, and purchased the vehicle that day. The finance manager told me that he would put that offer in to the system so that I would receive them on my scheduled service visits. On October 30, 2015 I took my vehicle in for it's first oil change and tire rotation. The oil change was complimentary any way since it was the first. I asked for them to do the free tire rotation. At that point the service manager said that there was no record of the 3 year free oil changes/tire rotations in their system. I asked to speak to the dealership General Manager. He called over my salesman. The salesman had no recollection of the deal being made. The finance manager who made the offer supposedly was conveniently fired on Thursday, October 29. I looked my salesman in the eye and asked him did he really not remember the offer of 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. The general manager said he would investigate. A few days later he called me back saying he found no records of it. He said he would offer me 2 free oil changes and tire rotations for my trouble. So I was promised 9 of each, and he is trying to appease me with 2 of each. Not a good deal from my end. I have also called the Nissan corporate office and filed a complaint there. The person I spoke to there said they would contact the dealer about my lodged complaint. As of today I have not heard back from them but do plan to continue following up.The General Manager's name who is doing nothing to help me is [redacted]. My salesperson's name was [redacted]. He claims he has no recollection of the offer even though he was sitting at the table with us.The finance manager, who supposedly no longer works there and who made me the offer is named [redacted]At Nissan Corporate, the person who contacted me was named [redacted]I wound up purchasing the car for $24,650. That was supposed to include the 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. The finance manager said that he could go down in price another few hundred dollars if I didn't take the oil changes and tire rotations. But I accepted them. [redacted] was quite happy to sell me the car. Now he can't recall his promise to me.The dealership has been completely uncooperative. The made a promise to me and now are completely going back on their offer.Desired SettlementI want Nissan to provide me the 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations that I was promised when I purchased the car.I also must state that I am somewhat concerned about having to take my car to Crossroads Nissan of Wake Forest because I can not trust them anymore and am concerned about putting my car in their hands. Ideally I would like Nissan to allow me to go to another dealer to get my 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. This was the second car I purchased from that dealership since 2012, and would expect a lot better treatment from them.Business Response To Whom It May Concern,Mrs [redacted] purchased a vehicle from CrossRoads Nissan of Wake Forest July 30th 2015. Mrs [redacted] came to our dealership recently to get her oil change and was under the impression she received free oil changes for the next 3 years, citing it was agreed upon in her deal. When I reviewed the deal I noticed there was a 3 year additional warranty sold to her at no charge, but not an oil change/maintenance package. Mrs [redacted] did receive a 3 year Service Plan (which she has paperwork on), but it was an extended warranty, and not a Maintenance Package. Due to the misunderstanding, I gave Mrs [redacted] the next 3 oil changes and tire rotations on us. She asked that we put it in the computer so when she comes for Service, the Service Advisor's would know. I obliged, and Mrs [redacted] is now pleased when I last spoke with her. Please let me know should there be anything else you may need in this manner.Consumer Response I have had a chance to review Crossroads Nissan's response about my situation. I wish to clarify what happened when [redacted], the GM there contacted me. First he offered me 2 free oil changes and 2 free tire rotations(not 3 free oil changes as he told you). I never gave him the indication that I was satisfied. I continue to be very dissatisfied with this dealership and have no desire to return to a business that has obviously misrepresented what they promised. I was never offered, nor was an extended 3 year warranty ever discussed. The car automatically comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I was specifically told by the salesperson [redacted] and the sales manager [redacted] that they were giving me 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. I know what I heard and was offered and promised. I was offered 3 years of free oil changes and tire rotations. There was never any discussion or mention of some extended warranty. So what the dealership told you was not what was even discussed. I am still not satisfied and plan to contact various media outlets if necessary to help me get what [redacted] offered me and what we agreed to in our negotiations on July 30, 2015. I am extremely unhappy how I was deliberately lied to and continue to be lied to, and how they have mistreated me and lied to me as a returning customer.I will only be satisfied when I get what was promised and offered to me. I have no reason to compromise since the dealership are the ones that are not living up to their promise and are blatantly misrepresenting the facts of the events.Thank you for looking in to this matter and following up.[redacted]Final Business Response We have spoken with Mrs [redacted] again this afternoon, and have decided to grant her a 3 year maintenance package in lieu of this misunderstanding. We are overnighting paperwork to Mrs [redacted], as she is aware she is getting the 3 year maintenance package. Please let me know should there be any additional questions on this manner.Thank you

The muffler broke off of the exhaust due to extensive rust damage. I bought a 2009 Nissan Sentra at the Crossroad Nissan Dealership in Sanford, NC, on July 17, 2013. The car seemed to run fine and I was told that the car passed the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles Emissions Inspection the day of purchase, on July 17th. On September 25, 2013, I had an oil change at the service department in Sanford. After the oil change, I noticed that there was rattling underneath the car and thought there was something hanging from it. I looked and saw nothing and thought that whatever was causing the rattling fell off. For two weeks, I noticed that the car became louder and louder up until 2 weeks ago. Two weeks ago, the car went from sounding like a quiet Sentra to sounding like a muscle car. The car sat until we had a mechanic lift the car and we noticed that the muffler was apart from the exhaust pipe and the piece that was supposed to holding it was rusted badly. I do have a picture of this piece. I called the dealership on Saturday, October 26th. A salesperson took my message when I told her that a car that I purchased in July, had rust damage and caused my muffler to come a part. She said that the manager told me to bring it to the dealership on Monday, October 28th, and speak to the Service Manager. The dealership manager would not speak to me on the phone. I took it to the dealership told them what I was told on the phone. The lifted it up and saw what had happened. They showed me where the emissions test passed for no exhaust leak but that doesn't explain why through a spot check, that was not caught in the inspection. They offered to process the repair on the advice of the general manager as an extended warranty which means that I will still have to pay a $100 deductible but according to the NC Department of Motor Vehicles, the car should never have passed inspection with the extent of rust that was on the piece that was holding the muffler and the exhaust pipe. That is sight check and the rust was very visible. If fact, when I touched it, rust crumbled off in my hands. I feel like I should not have to pay for something that should have been caught when the car was traded in by the original owner and should have been caught by the first inspection the day I purchased the car. This rust started from where the car was originally located in [redacted] There is no way that the amount of rust was caused by the barely four months that I drove it. Rust is caused by salt, water, and oxygen. Obviously, this rust was formed over a few years of road salt. Desired SettlementI feel that the dealership should replace this part, no charge to me because as I stated many times before, this should have been caught prior to my purchasing the car. I traded a car in and was completely honest with everything that was wrong with my trade it, plus they received paperwork with it. I told them that I needed a car that didn't need repairs. They assured me that this was a exceptional running car and that it had passed the NC DMV Emissions Inspection. I know that they feel partly responsible however, I should not even have to pay for the $100 deductible for their failed sight check on this vehicle. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXXContact Email: [redacted]@crossroadscars.comThe part was replaced at no chargeCase Closed SATISFIED 2013-10-29 This problem has been resolved at this time. Thank you for your help.

Sales and Finance department does not give the best type of customer service nor do they return phone calls concerning the sale of the vehicleProblem date was Sept 7 2015 (transfer of tag issue)Purchase date of vehicle was August 12Letter from [redacted] was August 27 stating I would owe 2 payments by Sept 17Sales Rep was [redacted]Finance Manager was[redacted].......?Desired SettlementI bought a car from Crossroads Nissan in Wake FOrest NC on August 12 2015. I was told to keep my tags to save money by just transferring them from my old car to the new one. Now over 30 days later I got a bill from the county for my new tags and a postcard from the Dealership telling me that my tags were in. I called to speak to the sales manager [redacted] and was sent directly to his voicemail. Shortly thereafter [redacted], the finance manager called to ask me what my problem was and I told him. He said he would find out about it and call me back that day. I told him that I was due a refund because they charged me for a new tag and he said it would be around $14.He also told me that I would be getting a check for overpayment from [redacted] since they over paid the loan. Needless to say that is not true. The loan took so long to process that there is no refund due and besides it wouldnt come to me anyone since they paid it off. I havent heard anything from him and it has been 2 days. My second issue is that I was told NOT to make my payment on the trade in which was a [redacted] because they would be paying it off. I was worried that my credit would be jeopardized because the payment was due on the 17th, they assured me it would be taken care of in due time.I got a bill from [redacted] stating that I was past due and also due again.....I immediately called [redacted] and she told me that it all goes to the home office. I reiterated that I was worried about my credit and she told me not to worry they would handle it on their end. The loan was finally paid on Sept 4th!If my credit is affected by their negligence I want it rectified immediatley. I have never dealt with a dealership like this one that gives you the run around and wont return phone calls or emails.I am truly distraught over the tag issue and hate that I was mislead into thinking I would save money by transferring the tags. Apparently this is a non issue for them but not for me. I need this matter taken care of as they promised during the finalization of the deal[redacted] has responded back to me and has taken care of the issue of the tag and registration. I am told from [redacted] and [redacted] that they will give me a second oil change for free and full tank of gas as well for my inconvenience.[redacted] has also stated that he will give me a check for my next payment on the car.I will consider this to be a closed matter once the above mentioned materializes.Thank you Revdex.com for your help.
