[redacted] To Whom It May Concern:Crossroads Towing was called by the city of Ft Collins parking services to tow a vehicle that was illegally parked in front of a residence Upon arrival the owner of the house came outside and pulled his parking pass out of his own vehicle and put it in the vehicle we were about to tow The vehicle that was about to be towed belonged to a friend that was over visiting.The driver from Crossroads Towing then called the City of Ft Collins Parking Services and asked if that was valid or if the vehicle still needed to be towed *** at parking services said to tow the vehicle since the pass wasnt in the vehicle when he had gone by and checked for passes Our driver conveyed that to the owner of the house and the owner of the car At that time the Crossroads Towing driver called for backup because he was being threatened The 2nd Crossroads driver showed up and suggested a $drop fee and we wouldnt tow the car The owner of the car reluctantly agreed.Crossroads Towing is one of companies that tows illegally parked cars for The City of Fort Collins Parking Services during [redacted] game days We have to be notified by the city with the location and description of the vehicle they are wanting to have towed The City of Fort Collins Parking Services do give passes to owners of houses near the new stadium There are clear instructions to have the passes prominently displayed on game days The owner of the residence did not give his visiting friend the pass until after the tow truck had arrived The City of Ft Collins Parking Services told us to take the friends vehicle even after the pass was produced.Crossroads Towing is not responsible for paying back the $ If the pass had been in the car, we would have never been called by parking servicesThank you***Crossroads Towing
