On 10/20/Customer purchased a remote starter/alarm system for a *** *** from our shopUpon inspection of the vehicle prior to any work being performed we noticed that the passenger door lock motor was malfunctioningThe customer was informed and we were told to install the unit anyway
which we didOver two weeks later customer had contacted the shop regarding the vehicle's battery was not staying chargedThe customer was told to bring the vehicle by so an electrical system test could be performedHe drove the vehicle to the shop the following dayWe inspected the electrical system and discovered that the alternator had a bad diode which was causing the battery to drain out when the vehicle was offHe was informed that his alternator was bad and he opted to have a backyard mechanic install a new oneWe then disconnected our alarm system so that no damage would be done to it while his mechanic installed his new alternatorAfter the the new alternator was installed he again contacted the shop regarding the vehicle now not startingHe was told to bring the vehicle by so that we could find out why his vehicle was not startingThis time the vehicle was driven to our shop it was brought to the shop on a flat bed tow truckWe inspected the vehicle again and it was discovered that his fuel pump was not working(At this point our system is still disconnected.) He then took the vehicle by flat bed to have a new fuel pump installedI can not recall how many days had passed when he had called once again to have our alarm system hooked back upThe vehicle was brought back to the shop and we noticed that there was an engine light on When asked about the light the customer explained that it was due to a bad oxygen sensorWe reconnected our system and the vehicle was placed outsideThe customer left with the vehicle and later returned with a complaint that his engine was revving while drivingThe vehicle was again brought back into the shop and a full system scan was done of the vehicle It was then determined that the engine codes were for an oxygen sensor and an idle control sensor which was causing the engine to rev at idleOnce again the customer opted to take his vehicle elsewhere for repairsSo again we disconnected our system so that not damage would be done to itAnd the customer was told to return to reconnect it after his repairs had been performedThat was over weeks agoWe never heard back until we received your noticeThe unit that we installed does not in any way tie into the ALTERNATOR, FUEL PUMP or the AIR IDLE CONTROLLEROur unit ties into The Starter circuit, Door lock circuit , Ignition circuit and door triggers None of which the customer has had any issues with We do not feel we should be held accountable for something that had nothing to do with our workWe have been in business for years We have installed in excess of 15,remote starter and alarm unitsAll our techs have to years experience in this field If electrical work on a vehicle is done incorrectly it has immediate consequencesIt does not wait two plus weeks to show itselfThis *** *** is a basic install that we have performed at least timesWe have never had a Revdex.com complaint and take customer service very seriously hereSo in good faith we are willing to remove our unit and refund the customer his original purchase price as we do not want any more unrelated problems from this vehicle to be blamed on our unit or our shopIf you have any questions please feel free to contact usThank you
