I am rejecting this response because:I was never told I could have to pay the cost of the service call. Rather, I was told that the company does not The breaker has tripped several times while the dryer has been turned on. I don't want you back out on the property under any set of circumstances - this issue will be diagnosed by one of the other technicians that ** employs, and I am working through this issue with ** currently. The fundamental issue is that I was not informed I would be charged for the service call. Further, the warranty does not say that the customer will be charged for the service call (as the company alleges), but rather for the "cost of repair or replacement." The service trip was to inspect the dryer to ensure correct working order and diagnose the issue. This is not addressed in the warranty. The service call was not to "deliver, pick up, and/or install the product, instruct, or replace houses fuses or correct wiring, or correction of unauthorized repairs." As such, the service trip is not excluded under the warranty. I understand, as I stated on the initial phone call, that I would be responsible for any repair costs for the wiring or house electrical issues. I was never informed I would be charged for a service call to determine if the dryer was working properly or not. The warranty does not exclude such service calls. I continue to maintain that the company has engaged in an intentional effort to confuse and defraud the customer by describing the situation in the manner they did. They clearly knew I might be charged for a call, but did not inform me of such, but eluded to not being able to fix the problem rather than mention I would be charged.I am still requesting that the company refund the $payment.
Regards,

I am rejecting this response because:
I am rejecting this response because I was not advised that I would be responsible for the cost of the service visit, and no cost was quoted. Further, I am unsure of what caused the circuit to trip, and as the dryer is the only thing on that circuit, I believe it may have been the dryer. If true, the issue with the dryer is not resolved.
As for the cost of the service call, even assuming the dryer is functioning normally, the warranty states that the cost of "repair or replacement" shall be borne by the customer. It does not say the cost of the service call or diagnosis shall be borne by the customer. The business had the opportunity to advise that I would be responsible for the cost of the service call, but they did not. They said that they would not fix the electrical issue, and that would be my responsibility - the business never mentioned I might be charged something for the visit. This is a deceptive practice taken by the business with the intent of charging unknowing customers a service call. If the business believes they should be paid for this service call, under these circumstances, they should bill the manufacturer ("**"). The business instead purposefully omitted any reference to billing me, and then insisted on payment from my wife who was home alone with our 1 year old daughter.

We went out and found the customers vent was plugged, wrong size vent cap and also smashed vent, so the customer was going to fix that issue themselves. The customer called back and were still having burning smell issue so we made an appointment to return. We called to confirm the appointment and...

no one answered and we left a message. Later the customer called up and was upset and very rude, so we told her that we would refund the money they paid 97.90 (was refunded the same day Thurs 14th) and to call someone else since she was u happy with us.

The consumer was told when scheduling that if the problem a "dead dryer" was not a covered warranty issue thru the manufacture ** they would be responsible. The problem was no power to the unit. This is not a covered issue thru the warranty. So the consumer was charged a service call....

In the consumers warranty available on page 46 in the use and care manual or available on **'s web site in the support section, it state on non covered issues consumers are responsible for all cost. Attached is a copy of the warranty. If the consumer feels that we should work for free and driving to their house having a technician take time diagnose the problem has no value we have a disagreement. Have a nice day

HiIf the breaker was tripped it does not mean any thing wrong with the dryer or there could be also. If the breaker has been reset and the dryer is working without tripping the breaker now, there probably is nothing wrong with the dryer. The tech was unable to locate the breaker for the dryer when he was there. he looked in the box on the rear of the house and in the garage so he can investigate further. If you would like us to come back out and check the dryer further we will do that, if there is a problem with the dryer we will refund the service call and bill ** for any repairs. But if there is nothing wrong we will not charge for this trip and not refund the service call. Breakers can trip for many reasons including week breaker, bad connections in the wiring, temperature where the breaker located. when we schedule any warranty call for any manufacture we tell consumer if it not a warranty issue they are responsible and it written in all manufactures warranties that consumers are responsible far any charges.Thank you
