Review: At the time of service I had [redacted] as an insurance, I am aware that just like any insurance they cover partial cost of procedures and the rest is out of our pocket. The day [redacted] went in for the procedure the front desk charged him a total of $25.00, I asked the front desk rep if this was correct and she said let me re verify and answered with a yes. Ok so we paid what we were quoted he got his procedure done and we left. We did not continue with treatment due to my insurance being cut, On December I received a bill for $158.00 along with a note saying we had a balance. I attempted to call the office and ask what it was about but of course we could never get a hold of the finance department and left several voicemails. I then called [redacted], told them what was going on and representative [redacted] then reached out to the office directly. [redacted] then told me she spoke to the finance person named [redacted], according to [redacted] representative [redacted] she informed me [redacted] had told her that at the time of procedure the person that charged him misquoted the amount and charged him the wrong amount which is why we have a balance now and that this person does not work in the facility. [redacted] suggested I spoke to [redacted] about this matter because since they had paid on their end this is something I have to fix with [redacted]. I contacted [redacted] again several times and no call back, today Dec 18th I finally got a hold of [redacted] for to deny telling the [redacted] associate this information and basically telling me well it does not matter if its an error you have to pay you were supposed to pay more (over 200) but instead you are paying $158.00 which is less. The point I should not have to pay for an error the facility did and then they lie about it to clear it and just get paid, this is theft and if they are doing this to me they are doing it to more customers. They need to take responsibility for their actions and own up to that charge that is not supposed to be mine, I did my part [redacted] did as well.Desired Settlement: I want them to clear this balance that they made an error on and expect me to fix, OR adjust the charge to a way smaller amount because again it is not my responsibility to pay out of my pocket for an error made by their office. [redacted] records their calls and they have the call were [redacted] clearly tells us that a representative made an error and is why the reason we have a balance. I already attempted to call [redacted] and she was really unprofessional and making false statements by me I do not want to deal with her at all I just want to get this out of the way and have nothing to do with this awful business.

Review: Early in October I made an appointment with Crown Dental. The first appointment available was 3:45 pm on 10/28/14. They asked me to arrive at least 15 minutes early (3:30). I arrived at exactly 3:22pm. The three ladies at the front desk gave me a packet and told me to fill it out. I started and found that they were asking me to sign an acknowledgement that I had received their "Filling FAQ" notice. I went back to the front desk and requested it. They had to scramble to find a copy and then eventually provided one to me. Then I found they were asking for acknowledgement to their privacy practices. I had to again ask them for a copy. The last form to complete was a contract to agree to arbitration rather than a lawsuit if I disagree with anything they do. I told the front desk that since they did not specify an arbitrator, I would not sign it. They said find and had me wait for my appointment. At 4:20 pm the dentist finally called me back (30 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I had been there an hour already). He told me to sign the arbitration contract or he would refuse me service. I said, that contract says that if I don't agree, I don't have to sign. He said then get out. I told him I would not leave until he gave me all the paperwork I had signed back, as since he was refusing me service, he did not need my personal information. He refused. I said look, as far as first impressions go, this was horrible. I've already witnessed your front desk person pick her teeth and then grab files and the hygienist that was going to work on me rub her nose right before taking me back to the cleaning room. I'm never coming back , just give me my paperwork. He refused again and then started raising his voice at me calling me a horrible person for insulting his staff. I said if you don't give me my paperwork I'm going to make a complaint with the Revdex.com, my insurance and police. He finally agreed to give me a copy of the paperwork before telling me to get the hell out.Desired Settlement: I believe that requiring a person to give up their rights to legal counsel in order to receive dental services is wrong. The dentist at Crown Dental was completely unprofessional, his staff completely lacking in job knowledge and required paperwork for medical service providers, and their facility wholly unsanitary. I would like an apology from the dentist and all other patients given the option of refusing to give up their legal rights.
