I remember the days when medical professionals were mostly WWvets who went to university and medical school on the GI Bill and graduated debt free and lived by the Hippocratic OathPatients were treated and billed with respect according to their ability to payToday the Millennials are coming out of medical school in debt for hundreds of thousands of dollars and care about nothing but profitThey've never heard of the Hippocratic OathThird party financial administration companies run most hospitals and clinics these days and doctors just do what they're told by accountants and pharmaceutical sales peopleI personally have one of the best dental plans available in the US and still dentists will try to oversell me right from the very first meeting and the assistants are instructed to oversell patients alsoIt is a corrupt industry.? I am not very happy about going here with a very minor problem and being told very matter of fact that they can't help me until I have my teeth cleaned to the tune of $upfrontMy insurance covers 90% if not in PPO and 100% if in PPONo matter what type of cleaning it isBut nowadays they want you, the person paying a high premium for insurance to spit out the money upfrontThen they bill the insurance and then reimburse you after they have sat on your money and find out the insurance covers 90%This place is a joke, they took xrays to the tune of $dollars which I'm pretty sure they will be reimbursing me for after my insurance pays them for itThen this young Dr*** comes in pokes and scraps my very very sensitive teeth and makes a snide comment about how I have said it hurts in different places, yeah well that is why I came in because my teeth are super sensitive to hot and cold and the sensitivity moves around and it just started in the last weeks, he never even let me get out that I had recently finished taking ***then he proceeds with, you need your teeth cleaned and I can't help you until thenNot only do you need your teeth cleaned you need a deep scale and root planing cleaning, so yeah basically bend over and take it up the bum and until you let us break it off in your bum, get out! The worst bedside manner I have ever seen and that is when I thought to myself, I will be going somewhere elseActually I thought about going to the hygienist that is in my PPO to have my teeth cleaned and then go back to this guy and make him do his job but since his bedside manner was so terrible to begin with I won't even bother, just terribleAnd apparently this Crown Dental won't even try to average out your portion that your insurance won't cover like most other places do, they just want you to pay the whole thing up front, ridiculous! I'm pretty sure they won't be getting a dime of the 90% my insurance would have covered because I won't ever be backThe office staff is totally incompetentThey submitted to my insurance but gave their prior address before they moved so when my insurance paid, the check went to where ever?? The waiting room time is stupid ridiculousI went to another place after being treated like *** at Crown DentalIt was just a little old brick building and you could tell their equipment wasn't all new and fancy but I didn't care because I walked out of there feeling like that Drreally cared about my problemThe hygienist spent at least minutes talking with me and gave me boxes of product to help my issue and then the Drcame in and spent at least minutes talking to me and listening to my issueThey coated my teeth with something and they did everything possible to help me, I felt like a real person and not just a dollar sign, they even took wing-bite xrays that they didn't charge me forThe Drsaid my teeth were not that bad and that he didn't think I needed a deep root/scale cleaning at all and that they could do it all at onceSo basically this Crown Dental Center was just trying to up sell me something I didn't need so they could line their pocketsI am so upset at this, that I decided to write this review and spread the wordEven though this other place I went to wasn't the newest and greatest equipment, their caring, integrity, professionalism and personal attention I received more than made up for itWhen I left I asked the receptionist what I owed and she said, nothing we will bill your insurance and then send you a bill if you owe anythingJust like it should be
