This complaint involves neon repair needed in tow interior beer signs to be given as a Father's day giftWe had hoped our neon person would have these done, but due to the illness causing lost time, he did not come throughWe had neon coming in on Friday June 19th and hoped it would include the
signs in question, it did notI talked with the son of Mrs*** and apologized for the disappointing service, offering to write a note to present to his father to show his attempted gift was delayed on our part, not his son's, but was told was not acceptableFor a number of years we have not had a neon plant in house, but send repairs out as a courtesy for customers needing this serviceOur name originated in 1948, when exterior lighting of signs was done primarily with neonOver our sixty-seven years in business, neon has become a rather small part of the sign business, with cathode, or fluorescent tubes, and now LED lighting fast take overThis makes a full time neon technician impracticalWe have had a local people who did this work on part time basis and this served our need; they have since relocatedThis skill is in short supply in the state of Maine and neon is too fragile to be shippedThe last several years we have transported repairs, or sent patterns, down State and picked up the work when finished, in a reasonable time frameunfortunately, the past several weeks our source, also a part timer, has had health problems which have resulted in delays, such as thisWe have enjoyed a long standing reputation for responsibility and fairness and will do what we can for the ***We regret the disappointment caused in this special transaction

Though this is a lovely response, it does not state how they plan to resolve this matter They still have not completed the repairs and another two weeks have passedHow much longer do they anticipate before the job will be complete? We are coming up on three months since the signs were dropped off for repair.
