Review: I took my ring in to Crown Jewelers to have a leaf welded back onto a ring. I was told that this simple repair would take two weeks and begrudgingly I agreed. Two weeks later I go to the store to retrieve my ring to find it horribly damaged. The leaf was indeed welded back on but now the bezel holding my stone was chewed up. In addition the stone itself was cracked in several place and a chip had even fallen out of it. After arguing with the employee that it was not wearable he agreed to fix it but informed me it would take three months and would cost me an additional amount. I felt I had no choice so I agreed. Once the three months was completed I again return to the store in hopes of getting my ring but again find more damages. This time the stone was in the setting so badly that one side of the stone was far above the bezel while the other was sunk down underneath it. The agreed to fix it for free this time and that the repair would take a week. I return once again with the intention of getting my ring home and dealing with a lawsuit if need be at a later time. Sure enough the ring was still not right. The star in the middle of the onyx was raised far above the stone it once rested on and in an attempt to camouflage the fact they bent the arms of the star down to touch the stone. Oddly enough they didn't even do that correctly as two of the arms are angled downwards while a third is bent and the other two arms of the star are just hovering over the stone. Upon turning over my ring I can see the the stone is now held into the bezel by what looks to be superglue.Desired Settlement: This ring is an older piece so it won't be able to be replaced with an exact duplicate but I wouldn't go so far as to call it an antique. If they can find a ring that is similar I would take a replacement. The only other option I can think of is if they pay somebody else to restore it but honestly I think that would cost as much as a replacement. I am open to other possible solutions.

so It's not new condition when we repaired we couldn't make perfect shape the best condition for her if its not make her happy we will talk with her the best satisfaction for her I want to make her Happy.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have since spoken with the owner who seems more than eager to make things right and I am inclined to give them one last chance. The owners wife tells me that this kind of job requires that the ring be sent out and will therefore require a bit more time. Although I can't say the matter is closed, I am hopeful that it will be soon enough.
