Review: I ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot who sub out their delivery to a third party delivery company. In my case to Crown Moving Co. Inc. Upon delivery they messed up my door jam and messed up tile on my floor. I was in the process of feeding my 3 children. The Delivery men asked for my signature on the delivery receipt saying that this just says that we delivered the product. I signed and they left. I finished feeding my kids and when my husband got home he went into look at the washer and dryer. He noticed the damage and we called Home Depot to complain. They contacted the delivery company. Between Home Depot and I, we had to call the moving company over a dozen times. They finally came out and took pictures of the damage over a month later. The gentleman who came out said that they would definitely get this fixed since there was obvious damage. He took some pictures and left. Then I received a claim form in the mail that I filled out and sent in. I just received a letter stating that they will not fix the damage due to it being too long since they delivered and I signed the delivery receipt. They are not standing behind their work and obviously don't care about their customers or the damages they make. I just bought this house a week before they came in and ruined my bathroom floor.Desired Settlement: I just want my floor repaired. I can deal with the door jam myself.

We have requested that a check be issued for the full amount claimed during our next scheduled check run. She should receive the check within 2-4 weeks.

Review: I am writing to complain about the unprofessinal handing of my move by the relocation rep Cimber of this company.Before I signed the contact I requesed that my houshold to be delivered by 8/19/13, she indicted that they will be able to meet my request, thus I gave them the job. They picked up my houshold on 8/12/13on 8/14/13 I received an email from Cimber to the contrary of her pledge that she will deliver no later than 8/23/13 if not earlierI sent her an email on 8/16/13 asking again to need for my houshold to be delivered as agreed few days early, but no answer this timeI called her phone on 8/22/13, but there is a massage stating that she is in vacation, she never mentioned that in the email.I emailed her to complain but she denied all that, I asked again for my stuff to be delivered by 8/23/13, sshe waited tell 4pm to tell me my agent is closed for the weeked and they will not deliver untill next week, the week I will start my job.This cost me hardship, and more than $ 900 of expenses.I found the service unprofessional, selective, and try to harm the customerDesired Settlement: $900, delivery of my houshold

We regret that Mr. [redacted] feels we did not live up to our agreement but the fact is we did. The contract that Mr. [redacted] signed clearly states that his delivery spread was 8/18-9/2. His goods delivered on 8/27 clearly in the delivery spread in his contract. Mr. [redacted] also states that he was not aware of his move coordinator going on vacation. We at Crown Moving have a team of move coordinators that step in to cover people as they need time off and they are required to have their email "out of office" turned on with details of whom to contact. Their voice mail does the same. Mr. [redacted]'s level of service would not change by one coordinator going on vacation.

Review: Home Depot subcontracts their deliveries through this company and does not let you know at time of purchase. Two young guys show up, complain about the install, damage the floor in the laundry room while installing washing machine and then cover it up. When ask if they could move washing machine away from cabinet to avoid possible damage to both the cabinet as well as washing machine I was told I would have to do that myself. I recently went through major back surgery so I had a friend come over the following Saturday to move washer to the right away from the cabinet and that was when damage was discovered. By requiring the machine to be moved by someone other than the installers that damaged the floor and left it covered up, the installers gave themselves what they consider an out for any damages caused. I have a strong feeling that this is not the first time this has happened to an unsuspecting consumer. It is very important to note that the washing machine has never been moved toward the back wall since being installed, only to the right to make clearance from the cabinet that it was left against.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a floor company of my choice come to my house and repair the damaged floor.

I bought a refrigerator from [redacted] and Crown Moving was the local moving company in charge of delivery. Online, I had requested that the door swing side be changed and I did NOT want installation as we were in the process of rebuilding after a house fire and were a week or so away from being able to install the fridge.
Crown Moving delivered the fridge on time and noted that the fridge was delivered 'in the box' so that if there were any issues at the time it was unpacked, we could contact them about it. When we unpacked the fridge, we learned that the door swing had NOT been changed. I immediately called [redacted] who told me to contact Crown Moving. I did so and was told that they considered the delivery "complete" since it had been signed for. I explained that it was always the agreement (based on the order) that the door swing be changed and it not installed. Since there was never any mention of the door swing, we assumed that it had already been done and he confirmed that some deliveries come with the door already changed (but that this was not the case). He maintained that they would NOT come out to change the door swing.
I expressed my concern that the delivery was not complete since it was not delivered per my order and he again refused to do anything about it, saying that the delivery was complete in their opinion. He also stated that coming back out would take away from their paid deliveries and that, if they damaged the fridge, it would be their out-of-pocket cost and he was unwilling to send anyone. He suggested that if my husband "was handy," he should be able to do it in about half an hour and that "there should be instructions on on how to do that."
I called [redacted] to see if they could do anything and they stated that they would contact Crown Moving- per [redacted], they did so, and the moving company again refused to come back out.
Obviously, I do not believe that this company has completed the delivery based on their failure to do the door swing change and their refusal to correct the issue. I am also frustrated with being told that signing for the package "completes" delivery when we were told that they were noting the delivery was 'in the box' in case of a problem. I think it is important for others to know what this company considers a 'complete delivery' since it can negatively affect the unknowing consumer, as it did in my case.
I found their customer service to be unacceptable. I understand that they have liability concerns; however, the fridge was not delivered per the original order/agreement and I would hope that service-oriented companies would do everything they can to ensure the order is correct and the customer is satisfied. In this case, neither is the case.

Review: Crown Moving delivered a refrigerator to our house on July, 9 2014. In the process, they scratch and uprooted the trim on our wood floor that separates the floor and carpet. I was told they would contact me in a few days to make arrangements for repairs. After 6 weeks I finally contacted them. I was told the superviser, [redacted], would call me. He never did and finally after about 3 more phone calls to Crown Molding I did speak with him. He requested images of the damage and told me it would be taken care of. I sent several images and an email to him, he never responded. I have called the company numerous times, they tell me that he will get the message are return the call. He has NEVER made an attempt to call me.

Crown completed my military directed permanent change of station. I had no choice in the carrier. The employee was very friendly, positive, and chatty while in my home. At no time did he mention how he would document conditions of items, nor was I able to see that he had been taking notes on his iPad as he marked items. Because there was no paper documentation, he asked me to sign for a change to my high value item listing--it was at this time that he had me sign, without my knowledge, to the condition codes he had documented. He documented a wide variety of damage codes on every item I own. My brand new couch set was marked as gouged, torn, worn, dented, etc. There were no visible damage to these items, and this practice was applied across the board.
I've not yet received my items, and they appeared to be handled and packed appropriately despite these practices. I know that I will be unable to claim any damage because of how this was handled.
My advice: Ask the carrier directly---"How will you document damage/conditions of my items?" "If you notice an item is damaged, please notify me as you document it so that we can agree on the condition BEFORE it is placed in the truck."
