Crown Sweep Inc.

Review: On Jan 23, 2014 the above company came to my house to perform a chimney sweep which was completed and to install a chimney cap or crown. On this date I was told the cap had to be ordered and would be installed at a later date. After copious phone calls to get a date for installation, either two things happened. My call(s) were never returned or by some miracle someone picked and promised me a date which of course was not honored. I've exhausted all possibilities of trying to resolve this situation. I have a receipt documenting this problem.

Review: On January 15, 2015, this company came to examine a broken damper. I had used the company before, and it was reliable. On this date, they offered to install a new damper and chimney cap to support it. I was told the cap and damper had to be ordered. Th equipment was paid for, by check, but made out to cash, and was supposedly available the next week. The cap and damper could not be installed because it was either too cold or too wet. When the weather was warm and dry, at least 3 appointments to install the device were made and none were kept. I was told the device was "in the truck", but it never made it to the chimney. The last time I was able to make an appointment was the first week in April 2015. No one showed and since then no one in the company answers the telephone. The answering machine works. I've left messages daily for the last two weeks and no one has responded.Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund of amount paid for the equipment and installation.

Review: I CALLED THIS COMPANY TO CLEAN MY WOOD STOVE FLUE. HE SPENT LESS THAN 5 MINUTES WITH THE BRUSH, TOLD ME THE FLUE WAS CLEAN AND CHARGED ME $200. I PONDERED OVER THIS CHARGE DURING THE DAY AND EMAILED THEM TO REQUEST AT LEAST A $50 REFUND FOR BEING GROSSLY OVER CHARGED. I GOT A SONG & DANCE FROM THE GUY AND THEN I CHECKED THE Revdex.com SITE. I EMAILED THEM AGAIN REQUESTING AN ADJ TO MY BILL AND TOLD THEM YOU HAVE THEM LISTED AS "OUT OF BUSINESS". AT THAT POINT I REALIZED THERE ARE NO REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY DURING THE 2014 WINTER SEASON. SHAME ON ME FOR NOT LOOKING FIRST.Desired Settlement: A $50 REFUND AND A CHECK ON THE BUSINESS LICENSE
