Sent: Monday, September 07, 10:AM To: drteam Subject: FW: Complaint ID *** Dear Members of the Revdex.com, Mr*** is correctThe flooding occurred the day after the first day on the job, the day that we prepared the floor for the finishing. I apologize for not being clear in the previous responseIt was weeks later that we were able to complete the job, which was after the flooding I am not debating the timeframe, rather, the fact remains that the issues with his tile job are a result from the flood waters reaching Mr***'s concrete slab (on the dates Houston flooded and during the job) which causes the absorption of moisture into the slab and into the effected floorHomebuilders add a moisture barrier to help prevent this, however the water did not come from under the home, rather from the ground level (due to flooding) so his moisture barrier could not stop the moisture from entering the slab I specifically asked Mr*** if the flood water had reached his concrete slab after receiving a complaint from the homeowner a couple of weeks later (after completing the job and being paid)He said "yes." I explained why the alkaline spots were present (due to the flood waters) I did agree that there were issues with the end product as I could see the alkaline spots from the home's water damage. I did return twice to the home to try and fix it, with no additional cost Again, there was nothing more that I could do at that point, there was water damage Thank you, Anthony C*** Big State Time Company

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint
Mr C*** is a liar and a cheatI never once expressed satisfaction with the job he performed, rather the oppositeI told him on multiple occasions that I was concerned with the way it appeared, to which he would tell me that it would look better in two weeks timeUnfortunately I trusted a liar, and paid him expecting that a Revdex.com member that is also licensed and bonded would see the job through. The job he performed was after, not before, the flooding in HoustonBlaming the poor workmanship on flooding in Houston occurring "weeks later" is an outright lieThe flooding that occurred in Houston happened after the first day he was on the job, a day in which they only worked for hours to prepare the floor for the finishingAn entire week went by, if not longer, before work was resumedBlaming the workmanship on flooding in Houston is a cop-out to the fact that the finishing was done horriblyThe first time a two week period had elapsed, he came out, saw the job, and agreed that it did not look goodHe again asked for two weeks to come back and check againAt the second two week interval, he agreed it still didn't look good and assured me that the job would be fixedHowever, instead of returning to fix the job he stopped returning my phone calls and avoided any and all responsibility for his workI have copies of canceled checks that were written and cashed by Mr C*** after the flooding in Houston that prove his work was performed after the floodingI would gladly provide copies of those checks to the Revdex.com to prove that Mr C*** is a liar. Not only am I upset by the lying, not returning phone calls, and poor workmanship, I am left with floors that look worse than when he started. I urge you to reprimand this man as he is not only a substandard work performer, but a liar as well
Regards,*** ***

Sent: Thursday, August 20, 2015 10:34 AM Subject: Complaint ID [redacted]  Dear members of the Revdex.com,    This letter is in response to a complaint filed by Mr. [redacted] on 08/12/15. Mr. [redacted] paid Big State Tile in full after expressing that he was very happy with the job. Weeks later,...

Houston experienced flooding in various areas, one of which was in Mr. [redacted]'s area. The humidity from the garage slab being saturated caused alkaline to rise through the slab and tile. This is a result of mother nature and poor development planning of the home builder, no fault of the contractors of Big State Tile. We did go out to the home again to try and help the homeowner, however nothing more could be done except redo the job for the homeowner at an additional cost. In summary, the customer paid in full for our work after being satisfied upon job completion.   Thank you. Anthony C[redacted] Big State Tile Company
