We did receive Ms***'s concerns from both herself and from IHG Customer ServiceWe needed some time to fully investigate the issue. At the time of check in the guests debit card (the Son in this case)The card was declined due to a "Error receiving message" on our credit card
processingThe authorizations eventually went throughIn the mean time Ms*** offered here card for incidentals which was approved and became the primary card to charge for all charges.The credit card processing error was not and could not be seen by the desk agent and there was no way to anticipate that the charges would be authorized. I spoke with Ms*** on March to explain what we had found and offered to call the bank to release any funds that were heldBy the time we spoke the authorizations had expired and the funds release back to the accountThe guest was not charged more than the guest rooms that were reserved.Below is a copy of the email I sent to Ms***I unfortunately had the email address incorrect and she did not see itAttached is the receipt of the charges made.Greetings ***,Thank you for returning my call. From our conversation it sounds like the multiple authorizations to your credit/debit cards have expired and you now have access to those fundsI sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to both yourself and ***.
