Unable to cancel membership after going to two different gym locations, contacting the company via email, calling via phone, and filing a Revdex.com complaint with ABC Financial. ABC Financial has told me they have made a note on my account that I wish to cancel. I emailed Crunch Gym directly, received an automated reply that I would be contacted in a few days and that was weeks ago. ABC Financial told me I had to personally go into the "my gym" location which I cannot because they are all closed due to the pandemic. Regardless, I went to the Amherst and Dick Rd. locations in person on 12/19 and both locations told me they could not do it and I had to go to the other location. I have ordered my bank to stop accepting charges for *** membership dues and will dispute any possible future charges/collection action.

This franchise has failed to issue valid records/ contract for myself and my husband for years. This contract should specify the amount paid for gym membership including the maintenance fee associated with each membership. We were both grandfathered into the $99 for a bade membership for my husband ***, and $149 for a peek membership for me ***. Under the new management they claim we’ve never paid a maintenance fee, which was in fact included in the original receiptt I have from 2013. Since the maintenance fee has increased from $29 to $49. So they want to now charge my husband an $80 maintenance fee, instead of increasing the difference which will make his annual paid in full fee $119. They what to collect $149 for him. Again due to they lack of record keeping all of our receipt only show the total due and not what the fees were for which makes it hard as a consumer to proof this, however, I do have the only contract issued correctly for me that shows the correct information.

Good Morning-

The member did pay in Full 99/ for one year. That 99 had no annual fee included. As per our contract at the end of a agreement we reserve the right to add additional fees. I honored

the 99 but just included our up to date annual which is 49.95. not 80 which she is claiming. Our records indicate every fee that was applied from the beginning of each of her and her

husbands agreements. We dont have grandfathered in agreements.

I paid the increased premium as the business insists that a fee had never been applied even they have failed to produce and provide proof. I have sent multiple emails to this location asking for the revised contract stating such fee was included in the premium paid 2/15, nearly 2 weeks later I have yet to receive a response or the revised contract. I need written proof of the breakdown of my fees and all I received was a letter which would have satisfied my request had it not stated the Robert’s contract would be a week shorter since the premium was paid earlier. I’m willing to accept the increase but I think it is only fair to receive the requested proof to avoid this situation again next year.

Good Afternoon,

We provided her with every possible break down of her agreement. The original agreement was a simple one year Paid in full with a expiration date. We reserve the right as stated in

the contract to add additional fees if the member renews. We no longer have a one year paid in full membership. I have on file a break down of *** original receipt where it states

that. I also have *** receipt with the breakdown of her pre paid dues and the annual fee that she paid for. In fact our rates have increased and because she has been a member

for quite some time, we honored and kept her rates when technically it should of increased. Please see attached a contract that shows the breakdown of fees.

Over 2 months ago I attempted to cancel my Crunch membership at the Channelside location near Downtown Tampa, FL due to their not providing the level of a location that we were promised while it was being built out. The location is smaller than promised and has less amenities. I replied to a text message that was sent by a trainer notifying them that I wanted my membership canceled immediately. I went to Facebook and commented that I wanted my membership cancelled immediately. Another problem with the location is it's proximity to where I now work. It was convenient, even if not what I was promised. The Facebook message was replied to that I should call them. I called, and was told I would need to come in to cancel my membership. This is utterly unacceptable. As I mentioned, the location is poorly planned out and inconvenient. I simply called my bank and explained that the services that I signed up for have not been honored and I cancelled my direct deposit. I have since gotten 2 text messages asking me for updated bank information. Today I called the Cannelside location and spoke to the GM. He was rude as I explained my frustration and he still contends that I have to go to the location. I am not doing that. Please feel free to have someone call me that can cancel my membership over the phone.

The member has been advised a few times on how to cancel a membership. Our policy states, you can come into the club and cancel or mail a certified cancellation letter to the club.

We are happy to assist in either way to get this membership canceled for the member.

I had a membership way back when it was still ***. I had moved away and forgot to cancel the member ship so I had contacted the manager via email and he said no problem, provide proof like a licenese, so I did. they never responded so I figured case was closed as I never saw a payment again. Then Recently I tried to check my credit score to see a collection notice from a company and in the info it stated it was crunch Fitness. So now I have a negative mark on my credit for something that you should have taken care of

The GM from Crunch Amherst, looked back on the members membership and this was cancelled back in 2013 and the member hasn't used the club since. The club cannot send a

member to collections if the membership was canceled. We apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused.

So they agree the membership was canceled, yet they are the ones who submitted this collections and they can’t fix it? Seems very very wrong. Why should I be stuck paying over $200 for the company’s mistakes

The GM of Crunch Amherst has reached out to this member by phone and has been waiting on his return call. In the initial complaint it says he was apart of *** and it became

a Crunch. We were never with *** here, so thinking this account originated from one of the corp. clubs that took over those from ***. However, after many attempts

to contact this member to try and resolve this issue; none of the many calls have been returned back.

Many attempts? I did not receive one call from them. And how do they claim they never had an account for me when previously they said they did and it was canceled?
