Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

Dear ***
rgb(31, 73, 125)">I understand your frustration with your situation but please let
me take a moment to explain why we have our cancellation policy in placeWe do
require written notice of cancellation for the following reason: It protects
the consumerWhen a member cancels in club, we have part cancellation forms
at the front desk and we keep one copy and the member keeps the other
Alternatively, a member can send a certified letter to the club stating his/her
desire to end the membershipWhy do we insist on Certified mail? Again, for
your protectionIf, for whatever reason, the membership is not cancelled after
receiving written notice days prior to a bill date, the member now has
tangible proof that they did, in fact, follow the proper cancellation protocol
The member can produce either the copy of the cancellation form that was filled
out in club or the receipt from the Certified letter which provides proof that
we did receive the letter and the date we received it
A phone cancellation does not
provide the member with any proof that he/she cancelledIn a dispute, the
burden of proof rests on the member to show that they did follow the policy
they agreed toI have attached a copy of your agreement which shows that you
acknowledged receipt of the cancellation terms
Our cancellation policy is one
of the most liberal in the country; we only require days’ notice, not or
like other gyms, and a member can cancel just by filling out a brief form in
the clubI am sorry you have found this to be an onerous experience but I hope
you can understand that our policy is in place for your protection, not ours
Best regards, Crunch Fitness Orange CT Ownership

What are the talking about? They claim it's to protect the customer and that is why they want me to send them a typed cancellationThe only problem with that is I can provide all of my identifying information including name, dob, last four of social, credit card number, member card number, and address on fileIt is a bald faced lie to say that there is no way to verify over the phoneHow is mailing a piece of paper better than asking someone for their credit card info, dob, address, month of sign up, or any of the myriad of other things they could use to prove it is meAs I said this is a blatant attempt to make it more difficult for customers to cancelIt has nothing to do with anything else including protecting the customerProtecting them from what? People who somehow have my credit and personal info impersonating me? I just called *** *** to discuss my credit card statement, did they ask for a written letter before they could know it was me?

My daughter and I are both members of the Orange Crunch Fitness Center and we found out a couple of weeks ago by email that they were closing They offered for us to go to the Stratford location, however, it is not convenient The main reason that I am writing you is that I have sent two letters to the *** on 10/and 10/and have not gotten a response I wanted the manager to refund mine and my daughters Annual Membership charge that they withdrew from our bank accounts in September I felt that they had a lot of nerve taking our money when they knew that they were closing the gymMy daughter is a student and does not make much money so it really is sad that they would do something like this and I work two jobs just to pay my bills I honestly do not think that the manager has any intention to respond to my email or refund my money I am hoping that you can help us We would greatly appreciate your assistance since we have not heard from the manage
