Good Afternoon,
The owner of the Crunch Club said all the member has to do is send the club a letter with her member information, stating she would like to cancel her membership.

Thank you,

Review: I signed up for their promotion last november 2015 which involved a discounted rate for an initiation fee plus one month prepaid fee. on the website, I specifically remember only opting for one month just to try it out and only paying for one month. so I went once, didn't like it because it's musty inside and never went back again since, knowing that there is no contract and it's a prepaid arrangement, I forgot about it. yesterday 3/1/16 I received a notice that i'm being charged an annual fee of $39. so I went to the gym and talked to the receptionist and found out that i'm being charged monthly for $9 since december and if wanted to stop it, i'll still pay the annual fee of $39 of which I will never use plus the due amount for march which I will never use also. so my main issue here is that I did not agree to an automatic debit and nowhere during that time when I was signing up did I check an option to do an automatic charge. but when they sent me copy of the contract, it includes an automatic charge, so i'm thinking that during the sign up process on the webpage they were not transparent about these stuff and led me to believe that i'm only signing up for one month as I intended to do.Desired Settlement: I want to be refunded for the month of december, jan and february. and cancel the charge for the annual fee and march due which I won't be using anyway

Response:

I've attached a copy of the agreement that details how the debits are processed, as well as the annual fee. No refund is due here but we have cancelled the membership per the member's request.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: when I requested the membership to end last feb. they are still charging me for march's dues of $9 which I won't use and the annual fee of $39 which I also won't use. that is unreasonable and unacceptable.

Business

Response:

The member never requested or came in to sign the cancellation form but it was courtesy cancelled per this complaint.

Review: I have joined Crunch on January 2015, in October 2015 I have cancelled the account I was using to pay since I was having Identity theft issues ever since October I've stopped using the facilities since I was unable to pay the monthly dues. It has been 6 months since I've used Crunch facilities and now I'm getting a collection notice for $124.75 that I shouldn't been paying since I haven't use their services. I've made a call to [redacted] and they refused talking to me since the account was in collection they advise me to go into a Crunch facility. After talking to this person I've decided to call the branch, the guy that answer happened to be the general manager and rudely said that no matter what I say or do the money needs to be paid since I signed an agreement not to mention he didn;t even look up my account or attempted to do anything but collect the money.Desired Settlement: Not paying for a service I didn't use at all

Review: So far not so good. I signed up a week a go with a cooperation discount that stated I was to get the enrollment fees waived. They tried to say that I would have to pay half, until I showed them the email from their gym saying it would be waived. I stated that I wanted the base membership then they went ahead and signed me up for the plus when I corrected them they downgraded it back to base and said I wouldn't be charged the downgrade fee. Of course I shouldn't be charged a fee! I asked for base. 3 Days later a fee for 20 dollars was taken out of my account from them switching my account back to base. Which they said I would never be charged! I called and was told it will be taken care of by the manager, well its been 4 days now and the money has still been taken from my account and no refund.

I'm still waiting on that refund. For something that was your mistake in the first place stop trying to take my money and correct your mistake.Desired Settlement: I want my 20 dollars back for your mistake when you signed me up, starting to see that it was a huge mistake to come to this gym.
