During this pandemic I have not set foot into the gym and do not plan to yet I was still charged $21.45.
I have already tried to cancel my crunch membership once and it was never cancelled and I received an email saying I was going to receive a call and never did so I decided to go ahead and stay. Now, during this pandemic all gyms were closed and they no longer charged for membership but the gym has now been open for at least 2 months and is just now wanting to charge me and I don't think it's fair due to the fact that I haven't checked in once more. This a pandemic, I do not plan on retiring to Crunch I just think it's completely unsafe and I called and asked could he cancel my membership (did not get his name) but apparently I have to step foot in the building and honestly I just refuse I have a weak immune system and I physically can not. The $21.45 was pending to be taken from my account June 18 on June 17 which also OVERDRAFT my account and I'm furious. My account # is XXXXXXX
I would like my membership TERMINATED and money REFUNDED.
I just recently took over as the new GM of Crunch and was unaware of this issue. I tried to reach out to Ms. on 7/9/2020 (no voicemail set up) when I received a letter, to apologize for her previous experience with cancelling her membership with Crunch. During the pandemic closure of the facility, the staff was not working and so the cancellation of her membership was not processed. We absolutely would like to make this right. I have processed an immediate cancellation on her membership and placed a refund for her June dues totally $21.45.

I met with gym representatives who said I could do a 1 month trial membership and cancel if I did not want to continue. They also offered a single session personal training session for a single fee. However, they now state that the personal training is a 4 session minimum and charged me for all 4 sessions even though I only did one session. When I learned they were going to do this, I explained it was fraud and that was not what I was told I was signing up for but they said it is their policy and non-refundable. They verbally agreed to at least wait until the 1/25 for my next paycheck before billing for the 4 sessions but they put it through twice before the 25th leading to overdraft fees. With the enlarged charges and overdraft fees I now do not have enough money to cancel the membership before it obligates me for the full year. They will not allow me to cancel without prepaying and will not allow me to cancel except in person. I believe this is fraudulent and purposeful to acquire full year obligations. When I have presented in person to try to resolve this the manager is always unavailable and the front desk person cannot help me.
