Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/03/26) */
In response to her claims they are all untruePertaining to the dog, she's an 11mo old puppy maltese, that was in the indoorsDogs do tend to bark at strangersSafety equipment is therePool water level was perfect w/perfect water temp &
chemicalsShe had a great 1st lessonI had to cancel the 2nd lesson due to our pump being out & not filteringI immediately cancelled all lessons for the day at 7am or soWe didn't resume lessons again until days later after it was fixed & had time to cycle through for safety purposes
Our sessions is 8~30min lessonsTo secure your session we require a $non-refundable deposit which will in turn be deducted from the total session fees on the 1st day of your lessonThe reason for the dep rule is it guarantees our swimmer a session and our instructor to allocate that particular time for that swimmerIf they don't show up after a deposit is made, the instructor will loose the time and could've booked a swimmer who would show up & pay for the entire session of lessons
I Explained the lesson's process from start to finish when she was here for the 1st lessonI also shared that we couldn't go in the spa because I had to call the pool guy out to take a look because I think something maybe wrong with pool systemI Did share with her we would go into the spa after I have maintenance out & see what he says & give us a green lightI also explained the reason for the spa over the pool for her baby's lessons & the reasons is I have older swimmers & they need the pool to not be so warm for health issues as well as the the safety of the pool waterPlus the weather on that day was not on our side, but was rather nippyThe Spa I can heat & make sure its warm for the younger swimmers the pool is too big and I wouldn't be able to control it as a needed basesNever 1x did she ask me to lower the tempPer the Mayo-clinic, they claim that an ideal water temp for 5mos "is" 95degreesI explained that the spa is heated to 1st thing in the morning around 6amHer lesson is at 10:30amBy that time the temp has dropped quite a bit but yet still warmI also explained that after I heat the spa to I would shut it off because I can't leave the pool to shut the systems off during lessons for that is not safeIt only takes maybe at most 30-mins to heat the spa then I would turn it off because I can't excuse myself during a lesson to get out, leave my swimmer alone to mess with the systemI also explained the process of how we go about teaching babies as young as 5mos to swimI explained that technically her daughter will be water safe before she can swimBy introducing them to the water through play will help them to understand things about water, its fun (so they're not afraid of it) & 2nd how to respect it through water safety,
The process: 1st step is to have them on their tummy blowing lots of bubbles making fun & play, 2nd a quick blow to their nose, so they can hold their breath & skim their face on the surface very quickly then rolling them onto their backsThis has to be done very fast *& quick due to the fact they're unable to hold their breathe more than 1/a secondKeep in mind we want them to correlate water as being fun but also to respect it through water safetyNever did I tell her that the her baby would be submergedWe are very adamant about WATER SAFETY 1stSwimming 2ndI also explained to her that she signed a contract & initialed the NON-REFUNDABLE clause redepositI did ask her to bring her husband & let me show him what we're about & how the program works if then he still wants to cancel we can talk about the refund of the deposit and she declinedI offered it to her on several occasions I have copies of emails to prove itInstead she sent out a negative blast with statements in a group text that I had created to send regarding cancellations of lessons due to pool being downShe claimed that she never recvd' this particular text regarding the cancellation of her 2nd lesson but yet somehow found the group text I created and tried to slander my character through via texts to other parents in our group
At this time, I do not feel nor want to refund any deposit to herI have tried on several occasions, against my better wishes & the clause of the contract in which has been set to protect our instructorsBy violating the contract to resolve this issue has no merit for me to do so especially after she took it one step too far by maliciously slander my character publicly with untrue statements & series of events
