Re: *** ***
Dear Sirs,
In response to the complaint filed by Mrs*** ***, we have to profoundly disagree with the facts as portrayed this client
In fact Ms***’s actions during the build of the trailer and subsequently made her a most difficult client.
Ms*** ordered a trailer the first week of August As we are a small completely custom trailer builder with only two
employees: my brother, ***, and I, each trailer is uniqueChanges or customer preferences can lead to delays in the
production of the trailers afterAt the time her trailer was ordered, we were expecting a production date of approximately
8-weeksWe let each customer know we put their trailer on a job board and address each in order of their initial order
dateThe only time trailers are handled out of order is when parts are back-ordered to such an extent as to delay the
entire order and subsequent trailers
We do our best to communicate with each customer as delays happenWe acknowledge that Ms***’s trailer
took several weeks longer than originally anticipated for a combination of these reasons, in addition to a week long
period in which we moved the entire operation into the current location Beyond that fact, the remainder of her
allegations are and misleading to such an extent as bordering on libel.
First of all, during the build, Ms*** initiated several changesThese included requesting additional exterior
lighting to be installed, changing the kind of sink, requesting “special” interior facing and changes in the exterior
racks/box Additionally, the slider windows she had ordered were discontinued by our supplierBecause of these
changes and the unavailability of windows, additional delays resultedAs a good faith jester, we offered to take off
of the hours of labor (shop rate of $85/hour) required to install her specialty exterior lightsThe lights were
not the correct voltage and required retrofitting to function in addition to the installation time Ms***
accepted this offer and stated that she was fine with the alternative crank out windows that we offered her as well
The “special” interior facing Ms*** insisted that we use was flooring glue and flooringWe STRONGLY advised
Ms*** against this glue and/or flooring as it specifically stated that it was not sufficient for the multi-weather
environment a trailer requires, but Ms*** became most belligerent about itShe insisted that we do as
instructed despite our warnings that it would not be durableAdditionally, in order to save money on the build, Mrs
*** requested to complete the cabinetry inlays herself despite the fact that I normally perform all the
cabinetry finishing myself
Through-out the build of the trailer, she was quite aggressive and by the conclusion of the build, neither my wife,
who assists with the billing, or my brother were able to assist her Despite this, I myself remained dedicated to
trying to make her happyFinally, I offered to deliver the trailer for the original agreed upon price, and not bill
her for the approximately $remaining on final tally in labor for the lighting and other changes, in hopes
she would be satisfied
Second, upon delivery the entire trailer was in excellent conditionWe did a 100% safety inspection and there
were no issues with the trailer, jacks or any of the lighting, wiring and/or radioWe do this because we 100%
warranty any of our work for the first year of the customer’s ownershipAdditionally, when Mrs***
accepted delivery of the trailer, we demonstrated all the electronics, how to hitch it to her vehicle, made sure
her lighting functioned and showed her and her husband where the fuse box was Because of this inspection,
the only possible way that the tongue jack and/or there was any other structural damage would be if the trailer
was in an accident post-deliveryDue to liability issues, we take safety very seriously and it would have been
unsafe for the trailer to leave the shop in the condition she alleges.
Finally, when Ms*** contacted us regarding the issue with the hatch hinge we offered to fix it and she
brought it inWhen she began to complain again about leaking, we again offered to fix it and offered to pay her
transport costs and/or come and get it ourselvesThis was despite the fact that by this time she had begun to
rip apart the entire trailer, as she has documented on several websites As demonstrated by her own pictures,
she has taken the trailer apart to such an extent as to make it possibly unsafe to use.
We can only fathom that the issues with the fan, the interior leaking and the other problem she complains of
have been caused by the fact that she has ripped out the facings, including rivets, seals and all other hardware
that maintain the environmental integrity of the unitNot a single one of our other clients have indicated any
leaking at all, for any reasonRegardless, we have continued to offer to fix anything Ms*** would
like repaired because as an extremely small business being built upon word of mouth, we are extremely
sensitive to our reputation
We have done our best to make whatever Mrs*** believes is wrong rightWe have already taken
$in labor off her final bill and after much deliberation feel that any further refunds are not warranted
and quite honestly will not appease herWe are genuinely perplexed by why Ms*** has decided
to conduct such a vendetta against our companyShe has attacked us on Facebook, Pinterest, all the boards
related to Teardrops and we were recently told she created an entire webpage devoted to trashing our
companyShe is obsessively trying to destroy our business in a manner which causes us to wonder if
there are other issues at playUnfortunately, we have had to begin considering legal action against Mrs
*** including a cease and desist and prosecution for slander.
If you require any further information regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
*** A ***
Builder - Crybaby Teardrop Trailers

Review: This is more than just a contract issue. In August 2013 we hired Crybaby Teardrop Trailers to build a teardrop camper for us. We put half the monies down and were told our trailer would be finished in 2 months time. The builder did not start working on our trailer until January 2014. We were in contact with him and he assured us he was working on the trailer. We we did finally receive the trailer late January 2014 several items we paid for as upgrades were not installed. The front tongue shelf, the slider windows, and we did not receive a refund for the sink with drain we paid for after we purchased our own. The trailer leaked when it rained and we took it to him to repair. When it rained again not only did the original leak still leaked but the entire cabin leaked, the windows and doors leaked. The ceiling he installed is falling down, the stabilizer jacks do not go to the ground to stabilize the trailer and one is broken. The tongue jack is tweaked and bends to the side. The radio which we purchased and he installed does not work. The cabinets and drawers were warped and did not fit properly and he did not include insulation. We requested a refund for the upgrades and numerous times he told us he had sent payment but now says he refuses to send refund for the items not installed. I have video, photos, and all correspondence with him regarding this matter. The site only allows me to upload one, may I email or send the supporting documentation to you? Photos of the defeated trailer are at:http://www.pinterest.com/[redacted]/crybaby-teardrop-trailer/Desired Settlement: We are only seeking a refund on the items purchased that were not installed. The total is $350.00

Re: [redacted]

Dear Sirs,

In response to the complaint filed by Mrs. [redacted], we have to profoundly disagree with the facts as portrayed this client.

In fact Ms. [redacted]’s actions during the build of the trailer and subsequently made her a most difficult client.

Ms. [redacted] ordered a trailer the first week of August. As we are a small completely custom trailer builder with only two

employees: my brother, [redacted], and I, each trailer is unique. Changes or customer preferences can lead to delays in the

production of the trailers after. At the time her trailer was ordered, we were expecting a production date of approximately

8-12 weeks. We let each customer know we put their trailer on a job board and address each in order of their initial order

date. The only time trailers are handled out of order is when parts are back-ordered to such an extent as to delay the

entire order and subsequent trailers.

We do our best to communicate with each customer as delays happen. We acknowledge that Ms. [redacted]’s trailer

took several weeks longer than originally anticipated for a combination of these reasons, in addition to a week long

period in which we moved the entire operation into the current location. Beyond that fact, the remainder of her

allegations are false and misleading to such an extent as bordering on libel.

First of all, during the build, Ms. [redacted] initiated several changes. These included requesting additional exterior

lighting to be installed, changing the kind of sink, requesting “special” interior facing and changes in the exterior

racks/box. Additionally, the slider windows she had ordered were discontinued by our supplier. Because of these

changes and the unavailability of windows, additional delays resulted. As a good faith jester, we offered to take off

8 of the 16 hours of labor (shop rate of $85/hour) required to install her specialty exterior lights. The lights were

not the correct voltage and required retrofitting to function in addition to the installation time. Ms. [redacted]

accepted this offer and stated that she was fine with the alternative crank out windows that we offered her as well.

The “special” interior facing Ms. [redacted] insisted that we use was flooring glue and flooring. We STRONGLY advised

Ms. [redacted] against this glue and/or flooring as it specifically stated that it was not sufficient for the multi-weather

environment a trailer requires, but Ms. [redacted] became most belligerent about it. She insisted that we do as

instructed despite our warnings that it would not be durable. Additionally, in order to save money on the build, Mrs.

[redacted] requested to complete the cabinetry inlays herself despite the fact that I normally perform all the

cabinetry finishing myself.

Through-out the build of the trailer, she was quite aggressive and by the conclusion of the build, neither my wife,

who assists with the billing, or my brother were able to assist her. Despite this, I myself remained dedicated to

trying to make her happy. Finally, I offered to deliver the trailer for the original agreed upon price, and not bill

her for the approximately $1100 remaining on final tally in labor for the lighting and other changes, in hopes

she would be satisfied.

Second, upon delivery the entire trailer was in excellent condition. We did a 100% safety inspection and there

were no issues with the trailer, jacks or any of the lighting, wiring and/or radio. We do this because we 100%

warranty any of our work for the first year of the customer’s ownership. Additionally, when Mrs. [redacted]

accepted delivery of the trailer, we demonstrated all the electronics, how to hitch it to her vehicle, made sure

her lighting functioned and showed her and her husband where the fuse box was. Because of this inspection,

the only possible way that the tongue jack and/or there was any other structural damage would be if the trailer

was in an accident post-delivery. Due to liability issues, we take safety very seriously and it would have been

unsafe for the trailer to leave the shop in the condition she alleges.

transport costs and/or come and get it ourselves. This was despite the fact that by this time she had begun to

rip apart the entire trailer, as she has documented on several websites. As demonstrated by her own pictures,

she has taken the trailer apart to such an extent as to make it possibly unsafe to use.

We can only fathom that the issues with the fan, the interior leaking and the other problem she complains of

like repaired because as an extremely small business being built upon word of mouth, we are extremely

sensitive to our reputation.

We have done our best to make whatever Mrs. [redacted] believes is wrong right. We have already taken

$1360 in labor off her final bill and after much deliberation feel that any further refunds are not warranted

and quite honestly will not appease her. We are genuinely perplexed by why Ms. [redacted] has decided

to conduct such a vendetta against our company. She has attacked us on Facebook, Pinterest, all the boards

related to Teardrops and we were recently told she created an entire webpage devoted to trashing our

company. She is obsessively trying to destroy our business in a manner which causes us to wonder if

there are other issues at play. Unfortunately, we have had to begin considering legal action against Mrs.

[redacted] including a cease and desist and prosecution for slander.

If you require any further information regarding this matter, please feel free to contact me.

Yours sincerely,
