Review: On January 27th I requested that [redacted] send a repairman to my home to repair my fuel oil furnace which was not burning properly and was filling the house with the smell of fuel oil. [redacted] stated that the repairman would arrive between 9 and noon. My son texted us when he arrived at the house after 2PM. The repairman did not repair the furnace, but left a bill and told us it needed to be cleaned. I immediately contacted [redacted] to express my dissatisfaction that the furnace had not been repaired. She stated that for $199.50 that [redacted] would send someone to perform the work that the previous repairman recommended but did not perform. However, she was unwilling to credit the cost of the previous visit to the cost of the cleaning. I find this type of treatment of customers reprehensible. They were hired to “fix” the furnace – whatever that “fix” might have been. Having to pay for the tech to be hours late and then not do the work is completely unsatisfactory.

I have sent a letter to [redacted] with the same information provided above. I informed them that I was forwarding this information to you and also was firing them as my service and fuel oil company because of their shoddy treatment and over-billing of their customers.

I paid [redacted], a different service company, to perform the service.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the money that they charged me for the repair refunded to me because they were hired to repair the furnace and did not perform any repair.
