I called last week to set up an estimate to get my air duct system replaced , I have really poor air circulation. The appointment was for today Tuesday 7/7/15. Ive been waiting since 8 am. I called twice to see what the delay was. Its now 5pm still a no show. I haven't even received a call from the tech. I just retired from the HVAC field

We own a rental home on Emerald Isle. Last year we bought a new heat pump from them and we had to have it serviced 5 times. Since it was new we argued that it should be replaced with a unit that worked and the owner refused to. He made numerous excuses for his side and had no care of doing the right thing. He was rude and difficult. Don use them, surely someone else in the area is good.

On 5/19/21015, they were called for an AC problem because house would not cool. They came out that evening, and worker waived wands looking for leak in the AC, but said he could not find any leaks. Then he preceded to put in three pounds of freon, and stop leak. Told me that I needed a new unit. He never went in the house to check if the freon was working or the house was cooling, nor did he run a vacuum of the system with putting that much freon in the unit. On 5/20/2015, another worker came out and proceeded to put two new parts on the unit. I was told that the compressor was bad, and was told that he would call me with an estimate on the cost to replace the compressor. He also adjusted the fan because he said it was too low, also telling me to get a new unit. I have never received a call back on the estimate or any type of call from the company. House is still up to 95 degrees, and had no choice but to call another company. I did such on 5/29/2015. This company came out and completely checked the entire system, inside and outside of the house. He found that the fan was bad,priced the fan for me, and I ordered the fan. On 5/30/2015 he replaced and installed the new fan at our home. The unit has been working great ever since the fan was replaced.On 6/15/2015, I received a bill from he first company. I called the company asking to speak to the owner and was told he would return my call. I received no call back from the company. On 8/18/2015, the company called requesting payment, in which I asked to speak to the owner, again. I was connected to the owner, [redacted], who was minorly rude, and did not want to hear anything that I had to say. He just wanted his money, and that he would turn the bill over to collections and place a lean on my house.He never offered to compensate the bill or any other like-gesture. He only wanted his money.I don't understand how somebody can expect to get paid when they don't finish the job or even call back with the estimate that I was waiting to hear./////Desired SettlementWould be willing to pay $226.00 for the parts that were installed./////Business Response Mr. [redacted] called on employeexxx's work cell phone on 5/12 and wanted employeexxx to service system. Explained to Mr. [redacted] that employeexxx no longer works here. Employee XXX was released from his duties because of doing work "under the table" and stealing from the company. Offered to send one of our technicians out to property. He said he wanted an inspection done on system he thinks he may have a leak and to call when you are on your way. Mr. [redacted] also stated that emloyeexxx had replaced the fan motor last year, I explained to him I needed to add his information to our system as we had no record of him or his address on file. He stated that he knew that, only employeexxx did his work and that employeexxx had been working on his system for 2 years which our company has received no compensation. Told Mr. [redacted] our office would call him back when we have him on the schedule.(NOTE: This is another discovered customer that EmployeeXXX must have done under the table)5/13/2015 Spoke with Mr. [redacted] and told him [redacted] would be there today to inspect system and leak search [redacted] would call on the way as our schedules are pretty full and [redacted] is working him in. Checked package heat pump unit. Found unit low on R-22. No leaks found with detector. Added stop leak to system and recharged with 3 lbs. of R-22. Checked system operation.5/21 Returned and checked system. Replaced 45+5 Run Capacitor and 2 Pole Contactor. Checked operation. No leaks found at this time. Compressor is over-amping on start up and will need to replace system or compressor in the near future. Offered to give estimate on unit replacement Mr. [redacted] refused at this time.6/18 Mr. [redacted] called the office and stated he received his invoice and that he was not going to pay as he thought it was too much. He then stated that after [redacted] checked system that his system was still not fixed and that he got his neighbor to come and fix. I told him that he never called our office back to tell us he was still having issues and that our notes reflect that [redacted] offered to take measurements for a system replacement the last he was there. And he declined at that time and did not want a replacement done. He then stated he was not paying that bill and hung up.8/18 Spoke with customer about past due invoice and he was transferred to owner. Per conversation:I spoke with Mr.[redacted] to try to remedy the situation. Explained to him we had provided service and we expect to be paid. He stated we didn't fix his system, his neighbor did. We were never contacted about any other issues with this system. How can we fix a problem if do not know there is one? He stated the motor which employexxx installed was the wrong size. This motor (which was stolen off the company's truck) was installed over a year ago. It is not difficult to question the honesty and credibility of a person who knowingly receives goods and services from a legitimate company and makes payment to their dishonest employee at a discounted rate.In closing, our company has over 7250 customers and has an excellent reputation in our service area. We will do all we can to make our customers happy.It is very unfortunate in this day and time a customer can make a complaint to the Revdex.com or post an unfavorable online review to avoid paying a bill.We will not be discounting the original invoice and if payment in not received before Oct. 15,2015 the account will be turned over to collections.
