On 12/13/2017 requested service call for leak on compressor. Technician said compressor leaking and would cost $300 plus to repair. Seemed uninterested in providing details. Was unimpressed with his interest or competence.
spent no more tnan 10 minutes examining and didn't even replace cover. Later received bill for $184 which I considered outrageous and returned as such. Company ignored my complaint and resubmitted bill. I returned with payment of $100 which I considered adequate for an indifferent diagnosis. When I employed another company, they told me previous diagnosis was sloppy and incomplete and would have resulted in greater problems had I gone with it. I believe I have been more than fair and that they are rude and arrogant. I have a lifetime credit rating over 800 and am a combat disabled veteran with a 100% disabled wife to care for and do not need the added stress of rude and greedy service people, who fortunately are very rare in Carteret County.
Technician did a leak search and found a leaking muffler in the condensing unit. He quoted Mr. a total of $300.00 to replace the muffler and re charge the system. This also included the diagnostic fee and leak search. Mr. called the office and could not afford the repair at this time. He was billed for the diagnostic fee and leak search. He sent a check in for $100.00 and told us that what it was worth. We sent his check back with an updated invoice with interest charges. HE IS TRYING TO GET OUT OF PAYING HIS BILL!!!
1. I never called their office to say anything. 2.. I sent them a check for $100. m In addition to being robbers THEY ARE LIARS.
ALSO PLS ASK THEM HOW THEY CAN JUSTIFY A CHARGE OF $172.50 for 15 minutes of an incomplete diagnosis AND WHY THEY DON'T PUBLISH SUCH CHARGES. ANY REASONABLE JUDGE OR ARBITRATOR WOULD LAUGH THEM OUT OF COURT. I FEEL VERY STRONGLY THAT SUCH PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWEDE TO PREY UPON TRUSTING CONSUMERS ESPECIALLY IN AN AREA OF UNSOPHISTICATED OLD PEOPLOE AND THAT THERE OUGHT TO BE HARSH FINES OR OTHER SANCTIONS. IF THEY HAD BROKIEN INTO MY HOME AND STOLE $172, I COULD NOT BE MORE OUTRAGED.
