Review: The y enter my bank account without authorization and charged me for a service that I did not sign up for or agree to. They collected fees multiple months then refused to return my money. All of the personal information was incorrect.Desired Settlement: Immediate refund of all money taken and to roved from database forever.
Review: Unbeknownst to me, an account with In Touch VOIP was established and monthly charges of $39.95 were debited from my account from August 22, 2012 to May 6, 2013, totaling $359.55 (for some reason, the account was not debited in February 2013). As I am 83 and often ill, I did not notice the charges until my social worker pointed them out, at which point we immediately cancelled the account with In Touch VOIP using their customer service number.
Upon calling customer service, they informed us that the charges were for a program to send and receive faxes through email. As I do not use the internet nor have an email address, the services provided were never accessed. The company admitted that there was no email address on file and said that perhaps the account was established in association with another online purchase. I do not make online purchases and have no recollection of signing up for such an account. Therefore, it is uncertain how this company came to have my checking account information and authorization to debit funds.
In recent conversation with the customer service agency hired by this company, I was informed that In Touch VOIP no longer exists and the company is now called True Fax Solutions. I believe all of these are under the same parent company Crystal Solutions L.L.C. In reading other complaints, it appears that this company frequently steals money from unsuspecting consumers.
We were told that the period to request a refund has past and no refund can be supplied at this time despite complaints to customer service and an explanation of how I could not have possibly knowingly agreed to pay for such a service. I believe I have been taken advantage of, perhaps due to my age, and charged for a service I neither needed nor used over the past year.Desired Settlement: A refund of $359.55 should be provided. Furthermore, considering the number of complaints against this company, some legal action should be pursued to prevent them for doing this to others in the future.
