CS Design Builders (formerly)

Contracted for kitchen renovation, made downpayment late Sept., no work started, no one answers tel to obtain status
On Sept 26, 2012 we paid CS Design Build (also known as Stone Factory) $10,500 on our American Advantage credit card. This was advance payment they requested to order materials from the mainland. Total invoice (invoice dtd 9/26/12, #1438, was $21,544.95). In Jan 2013 we began asking the CS designer for updates when project would begin. The first three responses indicated all materials were ordered but it would be a few more months since all was coming from mainland. From the time we began this process to present, the company was sold to Thiago Ribeiro (Chief Operating Officer), and Paul Nobbe, Jr., (CEO). In Feb Mr. Ribeiro and the designer visited our site to review the scope of the project. Until three days ago we had received no progress information, even after several telephone calls. Three days ago we were informed by the designer that he was no longer with the company. When we inquired about our status he indicated that it was "all up in the air with some legal things." I indicated to him that I planned to visit CS Design Build yesterday for a face-to-face meeting with management to determine our status. The designer said that the facility was locked and no one could access the premises. Needless to say, we are very unhappy and want our deposit back. We also purchased a Blind Corner Organizer for $307.45 on the assurance of the designer that this item would also be installed with the other major items of equipment including a new stove, dishwasher, etc. HELP!
