Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The business has egregiously misrepresented themselves and has a proven history of unresolved customer complaintsWhen I called to request service from this company they never said the cost would be higher because it was a snow dayThe representative on the phone said it would be $plus $depending on the lock and that is itMy car has a very simple lock that took the independent contractor a minute to unlockWhen I asked the contractor why it was so expensive he made up some nonsense that he has insurance to pay in case he breaks my windowHe mentioned NOTHING about the snow. I asked if he could lower the price, and he said he couldn't because the business that gave him the call takes percentage of what he charges meClearly giving him a financial incentive to over charge
When I called to complain *** was rude and hung up on meHe never called me back like he said he wouldI called to request the mailing address to send over letters of complaint and letters the attorney general wanted to send over, but a female representative REFUSED to give me the address or ***'s last name
This business has been uncooperative through this entire processI am shocked they even bothered to respond to this complaintThey misrepresent themselves by having an address in Saint Paul that's not even their business addressIs *** *** *** the contractor's apartment building? If I knew they were based out of New York City I would not have chosen themThey misrepresented the fact that the contractor would be at my place in minutesIt took him over an hourClearly they tell their callers they would be there in minutes just so it sounds appealing to the caller
How would they even know how long it would take him if they have to notify the guy who is another state about my call? Without missing a beat when I called she said minutesUsually locksmiths say they will call back to give an estimated time of arrival
This business is clearly unapologetic for their unethical business practices and behave rudely toward their customers who have legitimate complaints
I have never dealt with such an unscrupulous business that behaves in such an indecent mannerI was warned afterward that to stay away from business like these that seem to operate out of their home who can't quote a price based on car make and modelALL locksmiths should quote a price based on car make and modelIf there are extra charges because of snow days they need to notify the consumer upfrontI was told they couldn't quote me a price because they had to see what kind of lock it was*** is making excused and clearly wants to act like he runs an ethical business
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above

At this time, I have not been contacted by CSI 24-Hour Locksmith Service regarding complaint ID [redacted]. They most definitely didn't like my response. I seriously doubt they will respond to any attempts of contact. Like I said, they had an unresolved complaint from the Utah-Salt Lake City Revdex.com that was similar to mine and was unresolved. I contacted that Revdex.com to tell them this business was based in NYC. They unfortunately took down the complain and redirect to the NYC Revdex.com. Minnesota Revdex.com won't even post the business up to warn Minnesotans. I understand they are a local business, but they advertise themselves online as having a Minnesotan address.
Like I said, they wait for unsuspecting motorists to call promising the locksmith would be out there in 25 minutes. Then when this independent contractor shows up they charge well above the industry norm. I have the simplest lock out there. It's typically $60-$80. But $145 is double that amount. They get away with it because they can.
It's baloney about the snow. I was never informed of an extra snow charge. I've talked with them before and they never even mentioned it. The independent contractor didn't mention it. He made up some none sense about insurance in case he damages my car. [redacted] was saying how I was lucky I was only charged $145 because people were getting charged higher prices and people were offering him more money to help them.
The independent contractor has an incentive to charge high prices because they don't have a set price and the business takes a cut of what they charge. I'm curious to see what kind of lock actually gets charged $65 or $70. This is a shady business scamming consumers. They did not have an itemized receipt to give me. Check out what my states Attorney General's office says about shady locksmiths. This business fits the description.

Review: On December **, 2013 I was locked out of my apartment. I looked up a locksmith online and called for a quote. The representative informed me that the charge for a technician to come out would be 29 dollars for travel plus 35 to unlock. She said no more than 65 dollars and also guaranteed a 15 minute arrival time which is also stated in their website. I placed the call at 11:19am and the guy arrived at 12:30 to unlock the door. I had spoken to the guy two times and also called the company back to make sure he was on his way, each time they both stated he was five to ten minutes away and he was not on another service call. When the locksmith arrived, he had a strong odor of marajuana and told me the fee was going to be $180 to have the door unlocked. I stated the sales representative had said 29 plus 35...a total of 64 dollars. I paid the $180 and told him I would call afterwards for a refund because I was not told that price ahead of time. After he had left, I called the company multiple times asking to speak to a [redacted] or [redacted]. The girl was very rude and hung up on me and I continued to call, only to be placed on hold and the person never returned to the phone. My mother and husband were at the apartment when I got locked out and also attempted to call to speak to a [redacted]...We have called everyday since the incident and have not been able to get any answers. The [redacted] name is [redacted] but each time she is always "out sick" or never at the office. I have emailed the company three times, I have phone records of how many attempts I made to call about the incident, and also two witnesses who smelled the marajuana odor. The business is very unprofessional and have not made any contact with me regarding the incident for over two weeks. I would like a refund back because the service was not in the timely manner as stated, the price was not the same as I was told on the phone, and when I tried multiple times to get in touch with the company they will not return calls or answer emails.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive a refund of $180 which I was charged from this company for poor service. The locksmith was smelling of marajauana, overcharged me three times the price that I was told on the phone, did not arrive at my apartment in the time they stated and has not contacted me back regarding this incident after I made several phone calls and sent emails. I have phone records, emails to prove how many times I have called in addition to my mother and husband attempting to make contact.

Review: I was at work in [redacted] on December [redacted] 2013. This complaint was initially submitted to the Minnesota Revdex.com.I locked my keys in my car. I [redacted] a local locksmith. I saw one that was close by on [redacted] in [redacted]. BTW, after research on Google street view, this is an apartment building.Proof they advertise themselves as a local business[redacted]After that night, I have yet to find them as an advertised business that shows up on [redacted]. Instead I find them as advertisements as the one linked above. The initial search did not have any web site. The city search does have a web site, but that search did not come up when I first found them.Anyway, they said they would be there in 25 minutes. It would cost $29 base fee plus $35 or more depending on the lock. I thought this was great. I was surprised they said 25 minutes because the weather was pretty bad out that night. The price seemed reasonable. I did not think they would be expensive because my lock is simple. It's a manual. I've paid to have my car unlocked and it's usually $60-$80. So it took them over an hour to get to me. I tried calling other locksmiths during that time but I would have to wait 2-3 hours. Every time I called to check on the locksmith the call center was rude to me.Locksmith came out. He said it would cost $145. I said why, he didn't have a straight answer for me. He admitted that he was an independent contractor. I asked if he could lower the price. He said no because he pays a commission to the call the center.Afterward, I tried calling the call center. They hung up on continuously. I called nonstop. Finally they said they would look into the matter. They never got back to me. I spoke to them last on December [redacted]. They said [redacted] who could help me is out of the country. The local Revdex.com and the Minnesota State Attorney General tried sending a leter to them at the [redacted]. It got sent back.Desired Settlement: They are clearly not cooperating with resolving any consumer issues. I want a full or partial refund. However, I do not expect them to respond to you. They have their money. They know you can't do anything about it. Their was a similar complaint up at the UTAH Revdex.com but it's gone now.

They misrepresent themselves by having an address in Saint Paul that's not even their business address. Is [redacted] the contractor's apartment building? If I knew they were based out of New York City I would not have chosen them. They misrepresented the fact that the contractor would be at my place in 25 minutes. It took him over an hour. I have never dealt with such an unscrupulous business that behaves in such an indecent manner. I was warned afterward that to stay away from business like these that seem to operate out of their home who can't quote a price based on car make and model. ALL locksmiths should quote a price based on car make and model. If there are extra charges because of snow days they need to notify the consumer upfront. I was told they couldn't quote me a price because they had to see what kind of lock it was. [redacted] is making excused and clearly wants to act like he runs an ethical business.
