I purchased a home in Redwood City CA Feb 2016 that [redacted] did a 183k remodel for the sellers. I was told that the remodel took 3 months longer than proposed. I have been living in the home 3 days and thus far have discovered; The brand new furnace [redacted] installed does not work and has multiple code violations. The cheapest bath room fixtures available were installed incorrectly and did not work. The water heater has multiple safety and code violations. The kitchen stove exhaust has code violations. The closet inserts are breaking and falling part. The cheapest products were used and the cheapest sub contractors were hired. 5 minutes after [redacted] received
($183,000) from the close of escrow he sent a text stating no guarantees or warranty on any work he performed. From that point forward he has not responded to any text, calls, or emails. I want home buyers and owners and sellers to be aware of this GC's behavior and standards. I will continue to gather data and meet with the city on inspection issues and follow up with property inspectors who failed in their jobs.
