C.T. Swaims Construction & Remodeling

the owner & contractor of C.T. Swaims Construction & Remodeling received a deposit of $3600.00 for roofing my home on 10/10/19. The contract stated the roofing would begin 10/17/19 & finish by 10/28/19. I was very understanding every time after the stated start time was pushed back. In the beginning it was because *** couldn't start due to possible bad weather, which took our contract into the following year 2020. I called *** to confirm tthat the moment the weather permitted he would begin. He said definitely but March, April, May & June came & went and no attempted on the roof. During the time from March-June *** kept pushing the start date back due to his daughters daycare had COVID, the daycare's instructor had COVID then his daughter had symptoms. When I inquired about the COVID he seemed to brush it off & at no time w/all the dangers of COVID & having a young family did *** ever attempt to wear a mask. *** also used the excuse that his grandfather in Mississippi was ill, he used 3x that he had business he had to tend to in Madison. When I asked for a refund on my deposit so I can hire other roofers he then said he now had a lung infection on July 11. He has not returned my calls to date
