not going to work. When he did not receive the first refund we put a stop payment on it and sent a new check. We also offered the customer the opportunity to come to our shop and pick up a refund check at any time. He chose not to. His refund check has cleared our bank. Though this was not a fault in any way of Counter specialist, we still agreed without hesitation to return his deposit. As with most fabricators of custom countertops, deposits are not generally refundable, as material has already been purchased. However we have never kept a customers deposit if we have not fabricated/installed their kitchen.
