Review: It is my understanding, as per the Cubana Travel personnel , at the airport in Cuba, that they informed [redacted] about the cancelled flight on Jan 1, 2015 for at least 2 months prior.We had no choice but to purchase new flight tickets to Toronto Canada. Arriving in Toronto Canada, we had to rent a car in order for all of us to get to our final destinations, HOME.....It was approximately $300. extra for each one of us...Desired Settlement: the least amount I will accept is $200.

Review: In July 2014, my family (of 5) and I booked a trip to Cuba through Cuba Travel USA, a company based in CA. We worked with the owner [redacted]. Our travel dates were Dec 24, 2014-Jan 1, 2015. Two days before our departure I checked in with [redacted] to confirm nothing had changed with the flights or itinerary. [redacted] confirmed all was well. Obviously, since there is no phone service or WIFI in Cuba it was important to confirm all information. The trip went off without a hitch until Jan 1, 2015. We showed up at the airport at 4am, after cutting our New Years celebrations short. When we got to the airport we were the only ones there and learned that the departure flight was cancelled months before. After 2 hours of negotiations (lucky we speak Spanish), we were able to pay a change flight fee and get onto a flight from Cuba to Canada. This was especially tricky because we were down to the last of our money since this was an unexpected expense and Cuba does not accept credit cards. Once we got to Canada we had to pay to change flights to get to our respective destinations and pay for a rental car to get us home, more than 8 hours from our destination. This cost us each $400 unexpectedly. When we contacted [redacted] to let him know, he acted surprised and assured us he would resolve the issue and get us a refund. I have everything in writing. Since then, [redacted] has been unresponsive via email and phone. He is unprofessional and not a man of his word. Don't ever us this company!! They apparently pull this scam often.Desired Settlement: $150 (US) to each person = $750 (US) to be refunded for change flight fees, rental car and gas (all unexpected expenses)
