Review: CubeSmart sold my storage unit with some of my personal documents in it. They made NO EFFORT to contact me to come for my personal items. The manager claim that they do not check the storage before selling, they just sell it. This is a bad policy to me because it can be the cause of identity theft one day. I had my citizenship certificate, family pictures, a birth paper, immigration papers. I hope that one day CubeSmart will change its policy concerning customers personal items and show more concern for them before selling its storage units.Desired Settlement: Nothing can be done. The storage was already sold and CubeSmart will not say who the buyer was.If the buyer could be contacted to find out what was done with the personal items and if they still have them, will be greatly appreciated.

Review: "You're covered for life uncertainties! " is the statement that I always hear coming from the P.A. system at [redacted]. On May [redacted] 2014. I went to my unit to discover that the whole basement was flooded with water. The staff at Cube Smart assured me that this is an matter that's covered by the insurance company, Great American Insurance Group. [redacted]. When I filed the complaint with the insurance company. The insurance company stated that they do not cover water damage caused by surface water damage, water entering the facility from cracks in the building. I spoke to corporate workers at Cube Smart headquarters & they as well instructed everyone to file insurance claims. I'm writing you for help because I feel like it wasn't my fault that the water entered the building but I'm the one that's losing out on property that had gotten mildew for the lack of repairs on the building. Since the incident I witnessed workers working on the property to fix the leaks in the building. Can you please look into this matter because I feel like I am not being treated fair.Desired Settlement: To be reimbursed for my damaged property
