Needed to find a new shop, the mechanic I was going to does not fix VWs. This shop came highly recommended...had a pesky emissions issue that was fixed quickly and at a reasonable cost. In fact, [redacted] ordered a part and then discovered that simply cleaning the existing part would fix the issue. Didn't charge me for the part OR the labor to fix the issue! These guys know their stuff, prices are reasonable and the office folks communicate well, making it easy to schedule work. Highly recommended.

Review: I have had my car serviced at this location 8 times in the past year due to some of the same issues. I have decided to put in a complaint becasue of VERY poor service, and question the products they are using in my car. (I will be taking it to a dealer to confirm). Since February I have had an issue with a thumping in the front drivers side. Took it to this company and they stated it needed a new axel. It was replaced. 2 months later I felt the same problem, had to take it back and they said they had to fix that "same" problem again. Then again for the 3rd time I started to feel the same problem in the car while driving it. I decided to take it to another location to see if maybe my rotors were warped, they asked if I had had some work done becasue they see oil splashed under the car. I told them abou the axel and they said thier is grease in it and if the seal is not on correctly it will cause it to leak. I then brought it back to cudahy auto care to fix it for the 4th time. I started to feel the same problem, and took the car back to them on July 8th, and they said they had to bring it to a dealer becasue they did not know what the problem was. After having the car for 3 days [redacted] at Cudahy auto source called and said.... the car is ready and their is nothing wrong with it.

I have contacted the dealer and I talked to the manager they never said "nothing" was wrong with it but they informed them "Cudahy Auto Care" to "relay" the message that I should start with a balance and rotate of the tires. I then called Cudahy auto care today, July 12th, and she said..they did that (don't you see that on the receipt).

I told her the car still has the same problem, and she had no response. I paid them $430 for the AXEL to get replaced and something is still not right but they are not taking responsibility for it. Now I have to take it to the dealer myself.

The dealer stated it could be a bad AXEL but they would have to do some checking to make sure. I think if this is the issue, and they put a BAD AXEL on the car once I get the repair bill from the dealer I feel that I should get my money back from Cudahy Auto Care.

The customer service provided by them is horrible. They never call you to give you any updates or explanation on the car. I have made 99% of the calls to them to get an update on the car while they have it, but they make you feel as if you are bothering them for information. I give them a very, poor rating and would Not send anyone to this location. Cheap or not.Desired Settlement: I want a refund if the AXEL ends up being the issue at the end. I'm making an apt. for the dealer to look at it next week. The frustration of having to find rides there and back (they do not provide rentals) for the past 8 months have been very stressful, and for them to turn around basically throw their hands in the air and say they give up? If they could not figure out the problem they should have just told me that upfront. Also they made it sound like the dealer was the problem when they have been very honest and upfront once I talked to them. And are willing to accomodate me while they look at and repair my car correctly.

Response:

this is a follow up and additional

information. I have finally received the results from a reputable

dealer about the issue. Just a reminder: I had a problem with the car

while driving it, basically it came down to needed an AXEL for the car, I

agreed for them to replace it in FEB/March, and it was. 2 months later

the "same" problem started and I took it back. They said nothing was

wrong with the AXEL. I then took it to another location thinking it was

the Rotors, and they said they are perfect but they noticed oil

spraying under the car and asked if I had work done. I informed them

yes the AXEL. they said it looks like a seal might have broke and that

is where the oil is coming from and the "same" thumping noise. Brought

it back to Cudahy Auto Care and they said the seal was on wrong so they

fixed it. Now I started to feel the same problem a few weeks later, and

took it back to Cudahy Auto Care and they insisted that nothing was

wrong with the car. I told them it had to be the AXEL again becasue the

"same" problem is occuring, and Monica (owners daughter) said , her

father checked it and its fine. they decided they would take it to a

dealer (I had to wait another 2 weeks for that to happen). Now mind you

while this is going on my 3 month warrenty is startig to expire.

Now that concourse motors has looked at the problem, and informed me

that the AXEL that was put in is bad, and now I'm having to pay them

$800.00 to repair the same thing that Cudahy Auto source stated they

fixed, and after bringing it back to them 4 times they stated nothing

was wrong with the AXEL.

I want the money I paid for the labor and (bad) part for the Care. the

total bill was around $430, $125 was for a "used" rim becasue they also

stated I had a bent rim, but now I'm being told at Concourse that 2 rims

look bent??????

I will wait on the response from Revdex.com on the result, but I will not be

silent about this, and will be going to contact 6, and channel 4 in

reguards to being ripped off as a consumer.

Thank you,

Response:

If the axle is the issue then a refund will be made for the axle of $85 and the labor for axle installation of $100.

As of yet we have not received any notification from this customer or the dealership where she decided to take it that the axle is the issue with the vehicle.
